Ok, aside from the obvious, that it's a wealth of information and Mike chimes in when needed with awesome advice, pics, videos, etc, it is also a fairly friendly and ease-to-use site.

I currently belong to about 10 different forums... all for different reasons/interests.

Why am I suddenly posting this?
Because I recently joined a forum for some new dogs I just adopted. I wanted to get info from the forum and learn as much as possible... that's the point of forums, right?

THIS forum is ridiculous!
You have to have Admin approval to do anything!
I've had a signature taken down twice already because it was too big! Um, it's not even on their server! It's linked to somewhere else! You have to be a member for a certain time period before you can pm anyone, you have to "submit" a picture request for your avatar.... the list goes on.

If I didn't want the info on this forum so bad I'd tell them to shove it.

Sorry for the rant gang... I understand there needs to be guidelines, etc with running a forum, but this is just stupid.
 
I've never needed admin approval for anything?? Can you be more specific?
 
My naked pictures never go through!!

All Jokes aside, this forum is pretty relaxed

I believe the OP is referring to another forum that they are apart of and is "unhappy" about the way they handle their forum.
 
why no big pictures, because is faster with small ones, why approval, maybe they had problems in the past with liberty ...

We dont know but I know other forum for a specific interest, but looks like variety forum, you can post what ever you want, thats anoying :D

Yes, I meant the dog forum.... NOT this one. Sorry that wasn't clear.

I completely understand forum rules and not loading up the server with gigantic pics... but you can't post anything bigger than 15 kb! REALLY?

And it doesn't matter if I'm linking from another hosting site (like Photobucket). If the original file is bigger than 15 kb they will take it down.

Just freaking annoying! :mad:
 
My brother in law laughed at me when I told him I was part of a forum with the name geek in it. He did say it kinda fit because I am kinda nerdy with glasses lol. However, he did mean it as a compliment lol. We are really cool with each other and I see him as part of the family. Especially when I went to go inspect his paint. That he washes with Dawn soap about 1 out of 4 washes.

The weird thing was his car still beads...? I told him maybe it had a coating or something. He took it to some well known dealership (forgot the name) I think they do custom cars... and I think he said they come out on tv...

However he said that they said that using dawn soap is good for his finish.

He always brags to me and tells me, the secret is in the Dawn soap... :laughing:

Heck but it still beads pretty nicely so go figure :dunno:



What was your forum name on the dog forum OP? :)
