Why zanio

Why would they trash AG? Because we like more then one flavor of ice cream? Damn kool-aid drinkers. Anyway, Adam's is good stuff. I own quite a bit of that line. However, I like more then one flavor. Vanilla is to plain.

They use Ziano to try and compensate for their small penis size

They use Adams because of Drunkman...errr Junkman 2000

I'm a Corvette owner and have never used the stuff I stick with the Geeks products to make it shine

Because if he wants to use Zaino, he can just buy some Duragloss from AG for a lot less money

:iagree:

AG Forum also provides better tech. help from people who actually use the products. Now if we can talk Megan into making Duragloss a BOGO there will be alot more users, even the corvette group.

Zaino is so popular with Corvette owners because 12+ years ago Sal Zaino himself posted heavily and marketed his products directly to Corvette owners on various internet message boards. This spilled over into other GM forums. For many this was the first line of botique products they ever used. The performance was significantly better than OTC and people fell in love with Zaino.

Also at the time sealants were new and Zaino seemed revolutionary.

This is actually a better answer then mine :iagree:

ole sal should have gotten billy mayes to push his product.

I used Zaino for a few yrs because like others I heard it was good stuff on the net. I did like it but came across the autogeek site and started experimenting with other products. Zaino works well but I have moved towards poorboys and dp products over the years. I have no bought zaino since 04 I believe. I found it was harder to remove (as posted previously) and seemed to have alot more dusting than other products (nattys paste wax, poli-coat, etc) and cost wise got expensive.

To each their own.

I like to try out new products (recently bought collinite 845 because of the "hype" here, I must say it is not hype :) )

Wow, you must have been using way too much, Zaino is not a product I would consider "dusty". Like all LSP's, thin is in, man.

As many have mentioned, Sal really connected with the forums of specific types of cars years ago and made strong inroads and built up a good reporte (however you spell it) with the members. Adam Pitale of Adam's started doing the same thing a few years ago and he even goes to the meets and interacts with the members and is starting to gain their favor and give Zaino some competition. Having Junkman making the videos and contribute to the boards really helps Adam also.

I have never used Zaino but I assume it is a fine line. I bought Adams sample pack and used the qd (decent stuff), the undercarriage spray (pretty good), the glass cleaner (pretty good also) but haven't gotten to the other products.

LOL @ Junkman. The guy is cool but sure can be stubborn. Adams has some great products IMO. Their metal polish (old version) is something I have been trying to get my hands on.

Zaino was exceptional in its day. The newer products are a la par to any other sealant around. Durability, as others have attested, is very good. I like Opti-Seal over Zaino CS. Their "polishes" are on the harder side to remove, especially when blackfire and wolfgang are just about as good and wipe so much easier. Havng Z6 handy (or any QD) helps remove. I feel it is almost as hard to remove as Klasse.

I feel much of the Zaino following was they "required" you to prep the car before application. Guess what? Prepping the car will always result in a better shine and more durable top coat. Customers were happy with their better results, not understanding it was the principle and not the brand that made the difference. Also, after spending 4 times as long as usual to work on the car for most DIYers they would be more hesitant to change up and risk messing their hard work. They were locked in. Heck, I didn't stop using Zaino until the car became a garage queen. Sure worked its magic, though. I always had compliments on her from day 1 AZ (after Zaino).

I still have and love my Z10 Leather In A Bottle :) Their Glass Polish decent as well.

I have used all different waxes polishes pastes and I haven't found anything that compares to wolfgang. All of my clients that own Corvettes call me the magic man when I use Wolfgang Fuzion Estate wax
