I bought these about a month ago and finally got around to installing them. OMG, what a difference!! I had 2 100W (incandescent rated) or 22W CFL rated bulbs which was as powerful as I could buy..so I thought. My friend turned me on to these. They're big (12 in long) and very powerful (150W CFL, 400W equivalent) and a very high colour temp (6500) which makes it seem like high noon...no kidding, it hurts your eyes to look at them. I can't believe the difference in lighting.

There is an additional thing you could add..I chose not to based on the looks, but I think this would add even more light to the paint surface. The funny thing is, the reviews are all from the grow-op guys!! RCMP probably wonders what hte hell I'm doing looking at it..hahaha. Check this out (the mylar):

Wow that is terrific with only two bulbs giving off that much light.:righton::goodpost::applause:

Do those bulbs put out a lot of heat? I'm ready to order some but the sockets in my garage are sideways as opposed to pointing down. The bulbs will be very close to touching the ceiling. I wouldn't think so but I'd like to know for sure.

You are not kidding....Wow them lights are wicked!....This is something I need to look into....Thanks......

Just surfing through all the old Threads.

So how have these Bulbs been working out ???

Do they work well when the Garage is cold in the Winter ???

Do they start well, or go all fuzzy and half-bright until they or the Garage warms up ?

Most Florescent Lights suffer in the Cold... and I wonder if these behave that way too.
