I took advantage of the long weekend to put the long term application on her 2013 Murano.
The steps I took based on the good advice I got here were as follows:
Then I rested. Hopefully that will keep the SUV for quite a while. I am not sure what a professional would charge for doing this, but I wouldn't work that hard on anything I didn't own. :buffing:
The steps I took based on the good advice I got here were as follows:
- Foamed the car with CG Honeydew.
- Cleaned the wheels with Sonax and a Daytona brush
- Washed the car with a two (2) bucket system.
- Dried the car with waffle weaves and used my blower to blow out the crevices.
- Clay barred the car, but it did not have much contamination as it was just 6 weeks since the last clay barring.
- Polished the car with a GG6, orange pads and Menz 2500
- Did a jeweling polish with the GG6, gold pads and Menz 4500.
- Polished with Pinnacle Black Label Polish on the windows, sun roofs and body.
- Applied PBL glass coating to windows and the sun roofs.
- Applied PBL paint coating to the body
- Waited 24 hours and applied PBL sealant to the body
- Vacuumed the car with my vacumaid garage vacuum.
- Cleaned the interior with 1Z Premium cockpit cleaner.
- Applied Dlux to the trim parts and to her tires.
Then I rested. Hopefully that will keep the SUV for quite a while. I am not sure what a professional would charge for doing this, but I wouldn't work that hard on anything I didn't own. :buffing:
