Wife's SUV - long term application

I took advantage of the long weekend to put the long term application on her 2013 Murano.

The steps I took based on the good advice I got here were as follows:

1. Foamed the car with CG Honeydew.
2. Cleaned the wheels with Sonax and a Daytona brush
3. Washed the car with a two (2) bucket system.
4. Dried the car with waffle weaves and used my blower to blow out the crevices.
5. Clay barred the car, but it did not have much contamination as it was just 6 weeks since the last clay barring.
6. Polished the car with a GG6, orange pads and Menz 2500
7. Did a jeweling polish with the GG6, gold pads and Menz 4500.
8. Polished with Pinnacle Black Label Polish on the windows, sun roofs and body.
9. Applied PBL glass coating to windows and the sun roofs.
10. Applied PBL paint coating to the body
11. Waited 24 hours and applied PBL sealant to the body
12. Vacuumed the car with my vacumaid garage vacuum.
13. Cleaned the interior with 1Z Premium cockpit cleaner.
14. Applied Dlux to the trim parts and to her tires.

I did not put PBL wheel coating on her wheels because one of them has a scratch on it that I want to repair prior to coating them. The Murano does not create a lot of brake dust so it isn't nearly as critical as my car which is a brake dust creator.


Then I rested. Hopefully that will keep the SUV for quite a while. I am not sure what a professional would charge for doing this, but I wouldn't work that hard on anything I didn't own. :buffing:

I'll try to get some tonight. I took a few in the garage last night and they are too dark to tell much. It does look good. Better than it looked when we got it 9 months ago. Hopefully I will have some photos to add shortly.

Washed with dawn, dried and laid down a coat of meguiars ultimate quick wax since I couldn't get back to it for a few days due to our schedules. We suddenly split up 2 days later... This was in January.

I wonder if her paint is still shining?

She's put up with me and my strange ways for 33 years so I should find out how long the PBL lasts. She has said that she might be a widow, but not a divorcee though Im the MAN
