Will a sealant bond to glaze?

This has been a question of mine and I havent found a rock solid answer.
On a properly prepped/ polished surface will a glaze affect the bonding of the sealant to the paint.
From what I understand the glazes have alot of fillers/oils in them that I would think affect the sealant from bonding correctly???
 
DWG = Danase Wet Glaze. It's an acrylic glaze so bonding issues are minimal, if any.

the answer is not so easy as commonly in the past glazes were filled with oils and sealants did not like them. There certainly are more sealant compatible glazes now like the two from Poorboys.
 
Here 5 that I use that are sealant freindly

1-DWG 2-Prima Amigo 3-Poorboys Black hole 4-Poorboys White Diamond 5- ##'s Mirror Wet Finish
 
In a nutshell- an oil, wax, glaze will not allow a sealant to form a molecular bond unless they are formulated with a polymer (the so-called sealant friendly products)
 
Like TOGWT alluded there are exceptions that will apply over glazes. I got tired of trying to remember the exceptions and only apply sealant to fresh clean paint. Never had a smear fest since.
I still use a glaze under a carnauba.
 
I think their are exceptions to the old rules of not applying a sealant over a glaze or even a sealant over a carnauba. WG Spray Sealant is recommended as a booster for Fuzion carnauba. I also have applied WG Sealant3.0 over Fuzion and saw no ill effects. Now durability might be compromised, but the look is not.
