Looks like their metal shine has protective qualities also:

Chemical Guys Metal Shine, Polish & Protectant 16 oz.

So does this polish and protect while the wax has finer polishing and protectants?

I am looking for something to use on the polished aluminum on my engine and wheels.

Everything is polished now I am looking for something to help protect them.
