Will my tires ever be clean

Any tire coating manufacturer recommends that you use their cleaner with their coating in order for it to work. I found that LA Totally Awesome from the Dollar Store is the best tire cleaner. I used the Tuff Shine coating system on the wife’s Buick and three rounds of Tuff Shine cleaner still did not turn the cleaner totally white. One round of LATA and then Tuff Shine throughly cleaned the tires. I applied the coating on New Years Eve and I still have black tires that I can clean with car soap.
 
Super Clean in the aerosol can works really good at cleaning tires. You really don't have to scrub much. It's not the cheapest option though....

My Dad is very frugal,and so was my grandpa. My grandpa drove some pretty boring vehicles. Well,I will go as far as to say crappy. The last two vehicles he owned before he passed was a Ford Granada followed by a Ford Fairmont. He always bought Michelin tires though. My Dad dropped over 800 bucks at Sears for Michelin Light Truck tires. He was just talking to me on Father's Day about going to one of the dollar stores chains and buying some Mean Green cleaner to clean his tires. Evidently it must do a good job to be so dirt cheap. That's so my Dad....
