Will Reload bond over car wash conditioners?

Hello,

I recently had Opti-Guard applied to my car. I really want to top with Carpro Reload but I realize that most of my car wash shampoos have conditioners in them. Also, I add an ounce or two of rinseless wash to my bucket and those have polymers and lubricants. So basically I was wondering if the Reload would work over the lubricants/polymers/conditioners that the wash soaps left behind on the paint?

I realize that car wash soaps with waxes included are pretty much out. But even most of my basic car wash soaps have conditioners in them.

Thanks,
Drew

Product directions state,

Reload Spray Sealant, spray paint sealant, spray wax, CQuartz Reload

Paint should be clean and free of solvents or wax before applying Reload. Reload can be applied on top of CQuartz.

Maybe pick up some CarPro Iron X Snow Soap? I use this product and like it.

Ime Reload will not bond long term over wax and polymers. If applied over coatings or bare paint it lasts longer. If applied over waxes or sealants it will still give you the stay clean affect with dirt and dust not sticking to it like it does the waxes and sealants but it will wash off sooner. Nicks suggestion is a good one. Interestingly enough I have had a few conversations with people that tell me they apply over wax and sealants and feel they still get durability but I haven't experienced that.

Optimum car wax or optimum OID would also be a recommendation to top the OG, but anything you use will wear off very quickly as stated above because of the properties of the OG.

do you have a particular reason for wanting to top the OG with something?

Slickness. I heard reload is great for this. I might pick up some IX snow soap so it does not leave anything behind so the Reload will bond as best as it can to the Opti-Guard

As mentioned, if all you want is slickness, why not just use Optimum's Instant Detailer every wash?
