Will Riccardo Clay Ever Make It Here (USA)

I dont know if this is true or not but I just saw that Riccardo clay is now shipping to the US. Don't know if something happened recently - patent expired or what not, but hope it is true! If it is, let's get AG to start carrying them or an equivalent!

yeah since last week eshine.ca has started shipping it to the US, and they even ship for free to the US with a 150$ order... too bad AG doesn't ship free to Canada...

The patent was not on the clay itself per say, but the application it was used for.

whats so special about this clay?

Good question. Other than I've seen people saying it's more elastic than most others, it seems it's just another flavor of the same thing. There's only so much that a clay bar can do. I'm not sure what the issue is with other clays that this would solve.

So maybe it's just a new excuse to experiment with something different, not necessarily better.

It's pretty hard to do an apples to apples comparison of different detailing clays, since it's not rated on an abrasiveness scale the way say sandpaper is. If you somehow knew that 2 claybars had identical abrasives, they should function essentially the same as far as removing above surface contaminants.

The biggest difference for me is that Riccardo clay doesn't tend to stick to the paint like most others

Their yellow clay also cuts better then most other manufactures medium grade/mild bars IMO

What happens if you drop it?

That depends on if anyone is watching :nervous:

Riccardo is very easy to work with, and it was fun using something illegal!
