Will rinseless washing more than 1-2x a week cause too much damage?

First I've heard of this. That makes no sense IMHO... Maybe the price point? And he can buy one for all his guys for the price of one very good machine?

I can't stand using DA that vibrate like crazy.

I have a porter Cable DA

Griots 3in DA

And a Rupes 21.

I want to replace the two above DAs with the Rupes equivalent in size to get away from the loud and annoying vibration..

He is on plenty of videos saying it's his go to. It's really all you ever see him using , that and maroon foam B&S pads.

He even prefers the HF over the Rupes machines.

Over the Rupes? Kinda speechless.

Put me on the ban wagon, I re dunk my wash mitt. After I get banned, can I still order from the AG site???
After washing a couple panels using 1 bucket and redunking the water is going to get dirty, why would you do that? The 1BM using multiple mf towels is the only way I would ever use 1 bucket.

Agreed!

There are some people that do the one bucket thing with ONR and the Big Red Sponge.

I always wanted to scoop some "dirt" out of the bottom of used ONR bucket and look at it under a microscope to see if I could see the encapsulation.

I always use a rinse bucket and a couple of rinseless microfiber mitts with whichever rinseless I use.

Simple question though....how does the wash media get clean before the next panel? Why wring it out in the clean solution, am I missing something here or did Rod Serling come back to life😱

You guys have an interesting way of over complicating a very simple process.

Grit guard, 3 gallons of water.
1.5 oz rinseless wash
Microfiber wash mitt
Wash section, drop mitt back in bucket
Wipe with one towel, then a second
Push wash mitt against grit guard to release dirt, repeat process

It's worked for 1,000+ rinseless washes, see no reason to change it now.

Hehe haha (evil laugh ), I use the two bucket method for full and rinseless washes. I do use one rinseless mitt for the whole vehicle except for a salt covered winter car. I use two mitts. I think if the vehicle is dirty enough to warrant two mitts, I do a full wash when possible. I also wash the wheels with a different wash mitt. I watched GD videos last night for the first time. My method is mixed and probably not GD approved( not that I care) but to me works well. I watched several vids and read a lot of advice here and just went with it. I change my technique when I feel it doesn't seem right. One issue I have is I tend to do too many wipes, I am trying to break that habit like Mike Phillips suggest and do as few wipes as possible.

I agree. The only thing I will do different than your method is 2 buckets and presoak. For the time it takes to fill another bucket and spray the car down and presoak its, worth it.

@idriveblackcars. It's not really as loud as you think... Download any of the decibel meter apps on your smartphone and see for yourself. I did a fair and square test and it measured Exactly the same as my G21.
It is not loud. Nor does it vibrate excessively. I can literally hold it with 1 hand just like the Rupes test. [is it the pinnacle of smooth? No, but it will surprise you how smooth it actually is for all the bad rep it gets... I'm confident my 9 yr. old nephew could hold it with 1 hand on full speed and hold it steady without a problem. As a matter of fact, I'm gonna test that next time I see him. Lol.

I'd be willing to bet good money that the HF DA works better than the PC.

And as far as the noise factor... I just did an equal test between the HF DA and the Griots Boss 21. Both had a 5" backing plate on without a pad. Both on speed 5 the same exact distance from my phone.

Both clocked in @87 decibels.

My HF DA is just about as smooth as my Boss during the free spin.

Do you trust the phone app?

Do you trust the phone app?

Yes I do. I even meticulously cleaned all the dirt and lint off of my phones microphone port with a tac prior to running the sound test..
And the main reason I'm confident it really works is because I tested the decibel level inside my car while driving 50mph. with the windows closed and it measured at 67 decibels, that's exactly what they claimed for the 97' Cadillac Seville when it was brand new..

Do you rotate out your wipe towels, or have you had fine luck just using a couple of the 1st pass towels and couple 2nd pass towels?

I usually use 2-4 towels per wash depending on size of vehicle.

THIS...IS...IT...

For a day or couple days worth of dust, a WW is fine and usually takes a couple towels, ALWAYS clean wash media. Even with light to average dust, soak each panel with solution, this way it's SAFE!

Driving in the rain for a day or for a couple days the 2BM method is best. Standing dirt and grit is on the paint, 1 bucket for cleaning solution and one for rinse. A great wash media like Aqua sponge or plush mf mitt is a must. Rinsing off the wash media in the rinse bucket keeps all the dirt there, NOT in the clean solution, it's called cleaning solution, not dirtying solution. A one bucket method is ok as long as you've got multiple mf towels to throw into the cleaning solution bucket and have made about 4 gallons of solution so you have extra cleaning solution to keep your pre-treatment bottle full.

THIS....IS....IT💡🙏👍

I never use just one mitt no matter what kind of wash I'm performing.
