Will Wolfgang Ceramic Boost work with Wolfgang SIO2 Paint Sealant?

I don't have a ceramic coating on my car but am going to apply Wolfgang SIO2 Paint Sealant. I had already purchased Wolfgang PROFI Ceramic Booster. At the time I was planning to apply the SIO2 sealant and then top it with the PROFI Booster - thinking that would work. I should have asked this question first - Will the PROFI booster work as a topper for the SIO2 paint sealant or is it only intended to use with a true ceramic coating?

It might, but I wouldn't recommend it for two reasons.

1. It's not a very good product. I got a sample in an order a while ago and I found it really grabby and difficult to apply. Once applied it was just OK. Nothing great, thought I did see a slight improvement in the beading of the car I applied it to. I found the Profi detail spray (also a sample in the same order) to work much better, but still nothing Earth-shattering.

2. It's a product designed for ceramic coatings which are chemically different from the sealant. If you want to put a booster on your sealant from the Wolfgang line the Uber SiO2 Silica Spray would be a better choice.

I will second the vote for the SIO2 Silica Spray......works very well as a topper/booster
 
In the meantime, since you already purchased the booster, and assuming you don’t have any coatings planned in the near future, I would use it up on the SiO2 Sealant. Assuming it’s OK to work with (grabbyness doesn’t bother you). It won’t be the ideal way to use it but would certainly add something extra to the sealant.
