Win a Copy of Mike Phillips' Book - The Art of Detailing!

Count me in also, I would love to have something for on the go. Mike puts in a lot of work in the forums, and you can tell that this book is going help a lot of people out.

Who wouldn't want this book? Mike is THE MAN. I need this book to help my already poor technique.

I would love a copy because I once used a rotary buffer with a wool pad to take wax off my ride......but that was along time ago!!

I would like to learn a lot more about the art of detailing. I actually wrote about it for a paper in school. It would be great to extend my experience about detailing.

I want to learn what I do not know so I will need to read it to figure it out.

The only way to improve your game is to play with/learn from someone with more skill/experience than yourself (sometimes much more). This represents exactly that opportunity. Thanks, and good luck to all.

I always thought I could squeeze a little more shine from my car... after knowing about detailing I knew I could get my ride rid from swirls myself.... and now I realized I can also get others people cars free from these swirls bastards!

I would like a copy of the book so that I can educate my friends, neighbors and me on how to properly take care of a car. I want to start a "save my car from swirls campaign"

Send me a copy please! I can pass it around to all my detailing buddies and it will help spread the word about Mike and AG!

My bud is working on a semi-restored 1970 Mustang Mach 1, and I have a feeling I'm going to be called in to help detail it before too long. Need to learn what I can before tackling that project...

Mike has been detailing professionally -- and writing about it -- since right around the time I took it up as a hobby. I started to get (almost) pretty good at it and even made a few bucks detailing as a sideline way back then. Then life and jobs got in the way, I put down the B&D Professional 11" RO buffer and didn't really detail another car for almost 15 years. Through the encouragement of an online friend, I've recently returned to the hobby and sent AG quite a bit of my discretionary income for 2011. :)

Having Mike's guidance at hand would be a big help in getting me up to speed with the latest techniques as well as time-tested approaches to reconditioning and beautifying all my friends' and family's rides.

to up my game on my hobby, and learn from the master. :xyxthumbs:

One is never to old to learn (even when you are 68!), especially from the best.

Even though I have been detailing as a hobby for as long as I can remember, and doing it for a business since April of this year, doesn't mean Mike's book won't come in handy. I think it would be a great tool as a business owner to be able to show customers the facts from a professional and not just me talking at them. This may be the closest I get to picking Mike brain since I have not been able to meet him in person for any classes. Thanks Mike for putting this book out and Auto Geek for supporting him in his endeavors since joining your company. Thanks in advance Nick for my copy.;) lol

to learn from one who knows his work and to use as a reference

I love to read for one thing. I prefer holding a book rather than reading it on a screen, although I've learned a lot from this forum.

Having a hard copy from an expert would inspire me to try things that I now shy away from due to lack of confidence, and not having a handy reference available.

I might even share with my son-in-law, who still uses Turtle wax, and was a little jealous of how much better his Equinox looked when I did it as opposed to when he does it.

I don't only want a copy of Mike's book. I need a copy! I'd like to learn a lot more about detailing and how to make my vehicles look their best. Mike is the man and his book would be very valuable to me. Thanks.
