Window Tint

Thanks! I def think it looks good, now it better serve it's purpose! Yes, full warranty for fade, peel, bubble and non abusive scratching. I know that last one is subject to interpretation but I really do feel confident that if I mar it in my window or track felt cleaning, that I'll be taken care of. Now blatant abuse, that'd be on me.

I like Limo Tint all the way around (don't have it because it is against the law in CA)

My friend limo tinted his windshield plus the rest of the windows. (He got pulled over and fined very quickly lol)

I just asked my local California Highway Patrol Officer what is the darkest I can get and still be ok under the law. He explained, I said "thank you" and went to go get my tints

And what did he say? Did he give you the legalese or did he say "we normally don't pull drivers over unless its..."?

He was honest and legit.

According to him:

"you can have the rear window an back windows as dark as you want.

The driver and passenger cannot have any tint whatsoever.

And the windshield can have have up to the line"

He was showing me on my coupe, don't know about other vehicles.

I do not remember what the line is called on the windshield, but it is at the very top of the windshield, dark orangey brown.

If course I followed the law as he said, when i went to go tint my windows. (Pinky promise...) :)

It's called the AS1 line.

That's awesome that he was straight with you and even took the time to show you on your coupe!

Also, if you do get your windows tinted ask for a windshield visor strip across the top if you want one. I forgot about it when mine were originally tinted. But it looks a lot better with it and helps keep the sun away from my dash and dvd screen

Yeah Police Officer's are very nice when you approach them the right way.

At first he seemed a little cautious because a random stranger was approaching him. However once he saw that I just had a legitimate questions he was very friendly

My car already has the windshield visor tint. I believe it is stock because it is embedded into the glass, I believe.

VS1, thank you Erichaley

I have 30% front and back side windows. 20% on the rear. Anything darker here where I live in So Cal and you're just begging to be pulled over for no reason. Plus having fronts is illegal pretty much here I think, but its something that some will be light on, I've had plenty of people pulled over for having tints here, it's crazy.....But out here I wish I could go limo tint with how much the sun bakes the cars, especially in the valleys!!
