ok, so i really dislike cleaning windows, i have been using stoners invisible glass with every towel imaginable. i can never finish down streak free. any tips?

Use the glass cleaner with a microfiber. Then use a microfiber to dry it off then move on to the next one. When all done come back with a plain dry microfiber and just wipe them down. Work for me

I used to use Stoner's for quite a while but now I've settled on Meguiar's Glass Cleaner. It's a great product and because it's recommended dilution is 10:1 it is very economical.

Always clean the glass using two waffle glass towels. Towel 1 is used to clean the glass and towel 2 wipes it down leaving the glass streak free.

Never used a towel that's soiled. If it should come on contact with glass cleaner, the soiled area will dissolve and redeposit itself back on the glass causing streaking...

When I used to use klasse All-in-One, I would always finish by misting the applicator sponge with a bit of water and using it on the windows.

Worked so well, I still get out a spnge applicator and use a tiny bit of diluted AIO to do the windows. sparkling clean, and the water just flies off it..

Another thing is a fine-nap (like the specialty glass microfober towels) with just enough water to make it damp. This works as long as the windows aren't terribly dirty...can also use a MF with water with a drop or two of dishwashing liquid (2 drops per gallon, roguhly) in it...

I always seem to get streaking with Stoners unless I use 2 towels (see Boboby's post above for the reason).

I use a plain ol wet rag, wet with water, wipe the window down and then dry with a clean dry towel. Works like a charm, streak free clean, and costs nothing!

i have a gallon of this stuff sitting in my cabinet in the garage, but have yet to break it out. i still use stoners. BobbyG, u may have just convinced me to try it out!

Thanks!

I'll suggest, that while using one of the above mentioned glass cleaners with waffle weave MF towels, try using "the alternate-wiping method":

-On the interior glass go either horizontal or vertical (whichever way is more comfortable) with the towels; then,
-On the exterior glass go the opposite direction you chose for the interior glass.

-If there are any streaks...They'll show up better so a final wipe would be of more efficacy.

-Have you ever tried any surgical huck towels for glass cleaning? They're pretty capable of leaving glass surfaces streak-free!

Like I mentioned....Just a couple of suggestions.

I second the Klasse AIO. It's easy, fast, and I never get streaks. I just wish it didn't take me so long to find out about it. I can honestly say that I don't mind doing windows any more. Especially when they come out so clean and slippery.

I use one microfiber to clean and another to dry.... works quite well
