Windshield washer fluid

I use the Rain X Bug fluid as well. I did have a problem with it though as it seemed to get some kind of gunk build up and clogged my nozzles. Now I add it at about a 50/50 rate, even though it says not to add water and it seems to not clog my nozzles anymore and spray better. Being anal as I am, I try not to use the windshield washer as its going to spray somewhere on the windshield that the wipers wont get to and leave water spots (not the staining kind, the kind that I can see through the windshield that makes my windshield look dirty).

In the Summer I use Prestone Bug Wash, and in Winter I use their De-Icer.

Water with a cap full of Kodak PhotoFlo in it. Water is from my CR Spotless filtration system.

It never freezes in Los Angeles.

I'm trying the Aquapel fluid as I've decided I like the Aquapel treatment better than Rain-x. It works well, but has a smell when it goes one. It cleans really well (except the bugs which need to be scrapped off anyway) and does help shed water.

This is still around? Just curious.

Merry Christmas...

I use the orange Rain-X. Be warned though it leaves some disgusting stains on the paint if you aren't religious during the winter months about keeping the vehicle clean.

Available at most GM dealerships' parts departments, and online stores.

Or, any of the "Blue" jugs of washer fluids...Most of them have a "detergent", along with either methanol/ethanol to aid in lowering the "freeze point" of the mixture.

I think it all sucks so I add an ounce of Poorboy's World Bug Squash to a gallon of "Peak" or some other $2 washer and it's like magic.
