I live in Seattle, Washington. So we get some rain, the occasional snow, and where I live - the condensation that forms on my car freezes every night. the vehicle is also parked outside 24/7

The car is my daily, it is an '03 and I plan to keep it for another 10-15 years. I don't buff the paint because I don't want to remove clearcoat. It's a white car, so light swirls don't really stand out anyway.

What I was thinking of doing:
clay
Klassse AIO
5 coats of klasse SG
3 coats collinite 476
Basic wash every 2-4 weeks

Do you guys think this is too much? Too little? I'd rather play it on the safe side. I don't want my paint to be oxidized or cracked or anything far down the road.

Lol IMO that's way too much, just do 1-1-1

yeah bro, thats way too much. You'll be reaching the point of diminshed returns....but then again, it's all up to the user to do what they wish! But my 2 cents, god with at most 2 of each if you want to put in that much work, but 1 would be fine for everything.

The only reason you do more than one coat of wax is to 100% ensure you have complete coverage. You can't actually put a layer on top of a layer of wax. Like dissolves like. You will just be adding and removing the same product over and over again and ending up with the same amount of product on the car.

I would even skip the Klasse and do two coats of the Collinite. 476 is super durable stuff. I am not sure that the Klasse will do anything for you if you are going to apply 476.

.

I just did similar to above
Clay
Klass AIO
2 x Klasse SG
1 x collinite 915

Got a superb bead on my car this morning with the rain. Nice star pattern as the water dripped off the hood and sides were almost dry. I think the 5 KSG, and 3 collinite is overkill in layers. I'll share my thoughts on it's durability in March.

5 coats of ksg!!! I did two coats and applied ocw every now and then with a wash every 2-3 weeks. Car parked outside and it lasts forever! Roamed the car down with goldclass and apc and washed with cg citrus wash and gloss at 1oz/gal and the car was still beading. Had to wash the car several times.

I think 5 coat is overkill and waste.

First: Don't listen to what anyone says because if you want do it; then Just Do It...

Second: In my experience with KSG 3 coats is the sweet spot in terms of looks. I also can get around 6 months of durability.

Third: If it was me this would be my set up.
Klassse AIO
2-3 coats of klasse SG
1-2 coats collinite 476
Basic wash every week

Ehhh, I'd be a bit nervous about opti-coat. Just because of the cost per application. And I don't have the money to get a couple syringes of that to do my + my parent's cars.

Really what I am looking for is bang/buck and these products seem to be at the top of their class while being affordable.

And thanks everyone for the input!

Thinking you'd be going a bit overboard. Out of curiosity, what types/makes of car(s) are you planning to do this on?

best way to waste money other than gambling haha jk. just do 1-1-1

'03 Subaru Forester (mine)
'08 Toyota Highlander
'10 Jeep Wrangler 4 door
'02 Jeep Wrangler

My parents keep their cars until ~100k then get rid of it. So I am less concerned about that. I'd like to keep mine as long as I can until the thing starts to fall apart haha.

WOW.....my daily driver, Wife's jeep compass gets a single coat of Klass AIO,1 coat of Z2 and a 1 coat of ZCS thats it....the vehicle gets driven everyday 34miles a day on Long Island. Car never goes into the car wash, and it does not get washed from Nov till Aprill.
It it still looks great, if not everything just slides off when washed in april.

:buffing:
