yep. awesome product.

however, the flexblades don't necessarily work the best for every windshield. if you are considering these have any sharp curves (like a mini cooper is a good example) the flexblade will not work well because it can't conform like the normal frame units.

but the framed ones use the same blade so there isn't an advantage to the flexblade other than looks - they def look cool.
 
I like the Triple-Edge that you used to be able to get in Wal-Mart. They were about half the price of the premium brands but seemed just as good (in other words, fairly priced) Wal-Mart doesn't sell them anymore, seems you can only get them from the Triple-Edge website.
 
I read some good reviews on silblade wipers,good warranty and Ultra Silblade was tested against Bosch , Trico , and Anco for Ozone resistance they all failed except silblade, and warranty 5yrs you can't beat that maybe i will try them next on my 07 Acoord, amazon's has gr8 prices.
 
Wiper blades seem to be one of the great mysteries of life. I worked with a guy who shared my sentiment (this was some years ago) that you could never ever again get blades that worked as well as the ones that come from the factory on the car (this was Big 3 cars we were talking about). I even tried getting blades at the dealer once, and even those didn't seem to be as good as the factory ones, even though they had to order them, etc.

Wiper blades also seem to be one of those items that people like to pay more money for, as some source of pride. As offensive as I find the wiper pricing in Pep Boys, etc., you can spend even more (as I think was noted in this thread) to get "European" blades, etc. (which I'm willing to bet aren't made in Europe).

As I noted earlier, I found the Triple-Edge to be as good or better at half the price, and IIRC, they had a lifetime warranty. IMO wiper blades are just one of those things that the price gets jacked up on with no added value.
 
Rain X..... store was out of my size last time I needed blades and I picked up a set of Michelin's. Big mistake, noisy and chatter right out of the box.
 
Bosch micro-edge. I've always liked them and I don't think the Rain-X stuff performs as well. Here in Arizona, they are pretty much just for show anyway.

I always pay close attention to wash and dry them when I wash the car. We get so much sand/dust here that they will scratch your windshield if you don't "baby" them. Clay your windshield when you do the rest of the car and whatever you use will perform better.

I just got Bosch Icons bout a month ago and freaking LOVE them!! My friend has RainX lats on his stang and liked them in the beginning but very disappointed how fast they deteriorated in performance ....... I cant claim how long the Bosch last but I sure am impressed with them so far!

That's weird. I decided not to be so cheap with the $4/ea. blades and put some Michelin blades at $13/ea. on my wife's car. They work great, don't make any noise, and for the first time ever, wiped the entire viewing area without leaving that one irritating line of water, directly in the driver's line of vision! I liked them so much on her Hyundai that I put them on my Mazda. This will be our first winter with them, so I'll have to report back on longevity, but for now, they're quiet and don't streak, so we're both happy. $60 for wipers.... LOL!!!

Bosch Icon, had Rain-X latitude, they worked nicely but for the money the bosch's are better and are made to fit my cars windshield.
 
I've always used Anco blades without any problems. Doesn't make sense to drop tons of cash on wiper blades when you have two vehicles with 3 wipers each.
 
The best thing I have done with wiper blades is to clean the blades periodically with alcohol (the alcohol wipes work really well). This will increase the life of the blades and keep them pliable. I still replace blades right before winter, but this practice seems to help prolong the life of the blades.

i cant recommend using alcohol on the rubber. it might seem like they are working better but in the long run you are hurting the life of the blade. the alcohol is eating the soft rubber and drying it out. shortening the life of the blade.

they do make wipes that are designed to recondition blades. never tried them though.

I sure don't remember the Michelin blades I bought costing anywhere near that amount. I took off a set Rain x because the drivers blade had started to tear but they still wiped well and were quiet. put the Mich. blades on the y have been noisy since day one.

I like the Bosch blades but they don't last as long as the Rain X
 
I think the ones I have on now are Trico. With the right glass coating, I hardly ever use them.

while there might be better choices, i have to be completely honest and say that i've had rubber blades that i thought were done be renewed by wiping with a IPA soaked cotton ball or shop rag.

the average dummy would probably have just replaced them at the point that they were not wiping well, so if i was able to get another year or so out of them by cleaning them with IPA them every few months, i'm ahead of the game. i wipe the factory honda refills on my wife's car and it seems to work well. i've replaced the refills once in the 3.5 years she's had the car and it is not garaged.
 
I switched to silicone blades back in 2004 and never looked back. Unless I'm missing something here.. The silicone ones are durable, makes the glass shed water (like Rain-X treatment) and seem to skip less. I have PIAAs and Silliblades on my vehicles right now. With the climate here in the Philippines, rubber blades would normally start to deteriorate within a year.
