Wolfgang: Absolute must haves?

The bad thing about typing, forum or E-mail, is that it's hard to express emotion in it. I didn't mean to come across so strong! One thing, my detailing is on the semi-pro level - meaning I do it for extra cash, not just to see how great I can make my own paint look. Been there-done that! Therefore, price of products is important with me, I'm looking for the best value in everything I use. Typically I wash, clay, polish and use a sealer on my customer's cars. Currently I'm searching for a good value in tire dressing, believe it or not, but I tried Stoners More Shine cause it was on sale at Advance and wow - if it has decent durability it has my vote - waiting to see how long it lasts.

I understand. I also do some cars on the side when I can for extra cash. I usually just Optimum poli-seal it and then wax it. The WG is only for my car.

When the Stoners runs out, Armor All tire gel isn't bad. Somthing like $4 it lasts a decent amount of time and looks great.

I may try it, but Advance had Stoners for $2.44 a can, buy one, get one free! Guess I shoulda bought more. I was looking for Stoners Tarminator at the time. I use to just use kerosine, but I'm getting away from home remedies. Side note, got a car coming in Friday that is going to use up every last drop of my Optimum polish - thinkin bout droppin a hint that fathers day is coming up and I need my AG fix!

Man this is turning out to be a great topic...wicked...keep the info coming please.

I agree, the DG gives a darker, deeper, glossy look. OPS kinda mats the flakes. Although OPS is a 1-step aio, it will save time when time is of the essence.

I never found OPS to mute flake, and when you spray the OPS residue with OCW to wipe off, then whalla! Beautiful finish in no time. ;) Like 3 steps in one.....polish, seal, wax/seal mix.

OK, I ordered this:

And a couple of odds and ends to get the free shipping.

:D

My WG DGS will be here Thursday! Going to be using it on a silver Audi and topping with SSII.

Black Diamond - excellent selection. I have used both products and I love them!

You should be very happy with the results, and will be blown away at how easy WG sealant is to use. I so bad want to try WG Detail Spritz, if I didn't have so much QS I buy some.

WG leather cleaner and the conditioner are good. I'll order more.
Also have the plastic lens stuff (3), but haven't used it yet.

is that a kit? I can't find it What's the name of the kit?

thanks!

actually i was looking for the one on sales on wolfgang and found it here

Well I have been using WGDGPS on my car for a while now and I really like the way it makes the metallic in my paint go crazy.

However, I am going to go for the super wet look on my car for a bit so I am going with DG 101, XMT glaze, and Souveran.

Black Diamond I would use a foam applicator instead of the mf apps. Mf ones seem to absorb more then spread.

Once pollen season is over, I'm gonna put a layer of Carnuba over my AIO + SG + WGDGSpritzS. My WG detail spray and WG Foamaster are ordered as of last night (+ some other stuff for free shipping, of course) and hopefully on their way!

So should I get the Souveran, SSII, Natty's Blue, or some other carnuba to put on top of my sealant?

I must say that just putting the WG Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant on top of the Klasse twins added that extra POP to my Cosmic Blue Mica paint. However, looking back, my 3 part combo looked too reflective to me, hence the desire for a deep shine from a carnuba.

There's a forum or support group for addicts, right?

I put a carnuba over my sealant. I think it makes it looks better. You would have to experiment to see which of your's would look better though.

Ack, experimentation costs $$$. I'll need to do a lot more reading before I pick the first carnuba to try out. I want depth to the mica...like one of those christmas holiday snowing balls.

My experimentation $$$ says CG Pete's 53'. Made for darker colors and metallic paint. Brought my Neptune Blue Mica flakes pop!

But I agree with Greg, you won't know unless you experiment. If you want an overall product that'll definitely work, without experimenting, that'll give you depth, gloss, and christmas balls, most here will tell you Souveran. But on the other hand, for the same price ($80?), you can buy Pete's @ $37, SSII @ $20 on sale, and NB @ $16.
