PBMG has both WG Coating and PBL Coating.

Pinnacle Brand is based on the Souveran Carnauba Wax, and the Wolfgang Brand off of the WG Paint Sealant. So it was easy to understand the two brands coexisting, because they sorta have different focuses.

Now that there is both the WG and PBL coatings out, I am confused.

PBL says it's THE BEST coating there is. So where does that leave WG Coating?

Pinnacle has THE BEST Carnauba Wax, and WG has THE BEST Paint Sealant. Now that they are both in the Coating Market, How are they different?

PBL says it's THE BEST Coating. What does it do that separates it from Wolfgang?

Thanks everyone!

Combination of marketing, market share and sign of the times. Don't forget the DP and Blackfire Coatings. Pretty much every brand has a coating and both lines you mentioned are full service lines and not just known for the wax and sealant. PBMG has the entire range of coatings available from the perceived entry level to the premium level which crosses over to every other detailing supply product sold today. As far as being "the best"? You've been around here long enough to see the daily posts of everyone wanting the best sealant, wax, soap, mf etc. The best answer your gonna get is either based on product ease of use, performance or brand loyalty, nobody is that knowledgable of the product makeup to give you a precise answer on the differences in the products.

There are different coatings. Some ceramic based some glass type, some just nano long lasting sealants companies are calling coatings.

Flat out, dead on, hit the nail on the head post Vobro!!! Thank you! I love to go fishing a lot, and I have been seeing that for years in the fishing world. There is just a plethora of rods out there to use, and also of "Great Rods to choose from". So many that it drives me crazy. It seems like buying products here on AG that you can't go wrong with picking any of them. So I just had to ask myself when buying rods, what fits my needs for a particular situation. And then after that, it was a matter of just picking one and using it. There are just so many that would fit my needs that I just needed to go with one, and quit thinking so much. Buying deodorant at the store, same thing; there is just too many choices, so I just had to go with one.

I really tend to over think things like this. And when reading too many reviews, I forget that a lot of them on based on things like brand loyalty, which doesn't give an objective answer.

You ROCK Vobro! And thank you!

It's gotten to the point where I refuse to read any thread that starts with..." What's the best xxxx"?

Lol fishing, that's simple Shimano Curado or Abu Premier along with St Croix rods. I'm the same way but I learned from walking out of Bass Pro with a 3' receipt and still using the same baits time and time again. View attachment 40459

Duuuuude, No Way! One of my best setups here at home is the Curado on a St. Croix Mojo Bass Medium 6'6" 10-17lbs. But I got multiple poles for the Curado, cause I can use it for Musky, Catfish, and Inshore down in Florida.

During the season, I pretty much live at Bass Pro. Since you are living in HG, you are just a hop, skip, and jump from that place.

I live in Aurora and have a 2001 Honda CRV. We'll race. You from HG, and me from Atown. Use the car in your avatar. I'll win hands down! LOL!

I still use the plain ol cane pole my grandpa gave me when I was a kid! Lol jk, but I do still have it 😀

Shoot, whatever works man! They got a video on youtube of this kid connecting a spool of fishing line onto a battery powered drill. Then he tosses out the line several feet with a worm and hook, and when the bluegill gets a hold of it he just reels in the fish with the powered drill. Nifty Idea!
