You could, but you would just be masking the coating characteristics.

Oh, and welcome to the forum! :)

What is your opinion on the Wolfgang Uber Ceramic Spray Coating vs Rejex in terms of protection and how they shed water ?

I haven’t read anything about Rejex in a post in the last decade, and what I had read was it may be NuFinish rebranded. I’ve never used Rejex but have used NuFinish. NuFinish protects well and has great chemical resistance. Wolfgang or any new sealants crush it in any other categories, especially application/removal.

If I’m mistaken about NuFinish being just like Rejex, I apologize. But either way, I highly recommend using a newer technology to save yourself some pain.

I used Nufinish for about 3 years on a new car. Eventually I noticed that it stopped protecting and I lost my fine finish. I have no doubt the paint dried out. Once I polished the paint, the vitality of the surface returned...and I followed with an LSP. Nufinish is not a good product.

thank you for your thoughts.

I have used Nufinish. It was a very long time ago, at least 25 years. It was not as good as Rejex . I definitely like the ease of the Wolfgang Uber ceramic spray. Very easy to use. I’m not sure if I’m getting the same ultra slickness ? I was wondering how it compares to the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant ? I was going to use the Pinacle paint cleansing lotion as a first step to prep the paint.

thanks

Ok, so I was wrong as heck. Though I read this but it did dawn on me while writing that maybe I should see if Rejex is even a cleaner wax.

Regarding NuFinish, I’ve never used it long enough to see long term results, I was going with my longevity and chemical resistance notion from a video a year or two ago where someone tested tons of coatings on a detached hood and included NuFinish, which was our lasting some of the coatings after 6-7 months.

For myself, NuFinish was a PITA but would easily last (bead) for the 3 or so months I had it on. Pretty bland, sterile shine, but did clean up a few family member junker cars the way one would expect a cleaner wax to. As much as I hated the experience of using it, I wouldn’t have expected it to stop protecting and that really sucks that it couldn’t do it’s main job for Willbeen... especially on what started as a new car.
