I received my bottle of Wolfgang ETS last week at some time and used the product on a few different applications. They were all soft rubber and the product works very nicely.

BUT, i had an issue with the bottle that the ETS comes in. I bought the 16oz. When I went to pour the product out I spilled more than I got on the applicator as it ran down the side of the bottle. The product is very thin and runny. And in detailing there is nothing that I hate more than poor bottle and lid designs. and ETS definitely fits into this category.

But fear not ! :) there is a quick simple solution that works so well that I really wanted to share with everyone !

That was to transfer the contents of the WG ETS into a york style dispenser. The dispenser I have already comes pre-tapped with a hole in the lid. The pretapped hole is somewhat small. similar to a thick pinhead. IF you are using a bottle that needs to be tapped, I suggest sticking it from the top with a thick sowing needle.

Anyway , here are the pic's. enjoy,

Thanks for the tip...I haven't used mine yet but I will be sure to follow your advice..Good tip!!!:props:

The 4 oz. size works very well. Easy to handle also.

Thats a good tip. I might be alone on this, but I actually put both my ETS and UTTG in little 3oz finger spray bottles. One or two squirts on an applicator and it's ready to go. Also it eliminates waste....unless you squirt it in the wrong direction.

LOL Dave I was just going to suggest doing the same thing.

great advice, I did this with the UTTG a while back. I thought it worked very well like that. Thanks for adding that to the thread, I think thats another great option. It will work a lot better to prime the applicator correctly.

I mentioned a sprayer in the ETS product launch thread and nick told me its not a wise idea. Which I gave him the proper respect in that thread, but I do strongly disagree with him.

Its very easy to waste this product, and I think pouring off with the lids that are included are a waste. especially the 16oz bottle lid.

Didn't UTTG come with a spray top at one point when the product was first released ?

I'm pretty sure products like this and the Ultima range are tough on sprayers because of the solvents used.

Yes..I was fortunate to test the Ultima line before it was even released. One of my biggest complaints was the sprayers. Every single one of mine has failed. I am glad they switched to flip tops on UTTG.

Thx for the info. So would it be wise of me to remove the sprayer from the Ultima Paint Guard Plus bottle that I have (4oz) everytime I'm done using it ?

damn, I just got my new bottle of UTTG and noticed when I opened it up that the safety seal eroded away on it. It wound up falling into the bottle and breaking up into small and large pieces. Now its floating all over inside the emulsion.

Do you think Autogeek would replace this bottle for me ?

Thanks for the tip and thoughts Mike!

Also good tips on using a 2oz spritz bottle. I often do the same.
