both tubs are going to last you a longtime. I suggest you do what I have done. One tub is for Machine application only, and the other tub is for hand application and gets dipped into with the yellow applicator.
This makes life easier, because once you start using a hand applicator, you will dip into the wax and it makes it annoying to them remove to machine apply it. so now you have the best of both worlds.
