I never gave the HHR a second thought until I needed a new car. I had $3400.00 accumulated on my GM Credit Card (you earn dollars towards any GM vehicle with every purchase). So, with $3400.00 to use, I wanted a GM vehicle. Something that was kind of sporty, but had to be family friendly too as I pick up my kids from school almost every day.

Then one day I saw a red HHR on the road. Something looked different. It looked pretty cool! Turns out it was the "SS" model, which has a different body kit on it, painted door handles and mirrors, rear spoiler, and best of all a TURBO! :hotrod2:


I haven't tried Max Wax, but I hear lots of good things.
 
Incidentally, what tire dressing do you have on your tires in those pics?
 
I have used Fuzion several times now.

It loses its slickness sooner than its looks. I liked the paint clarity (does not darken or hide) and wetness. It seems to be metallic paint friendly.
 
Wow, amazing look.... that is one of the most vibrant red cars I have seen and I know that pictures don't do it justice.

I have yet to use a product that makes the paint really slick that doesn't wear off rather quickly, so that isn't too much of a concern for me, as long as the look remains for a decent amount of time.

I completely agree regarding the clarity (I specifically mentioned that in the review) and obviously the wetness as well.

Thanks! I remember seeing a red HHR SS drive right in front of me at a stop light, and I remember looking up as the side of it was lit up by the late afternoon sun, and saying to myself "daayam that red is bright"! It was about 6 weeks later that I wound up buying one.
 
wow looks great!

Id love to try this stuff out. but im getting some samples of Dodo juice and waiting for Souveran to come into the BOGO. Getting some samples of liquid souveran as well. my poor car is going to be different colors by the time im done smearing crap on it.
