Hi all,

I was wondering if somebody can tell me where the Pinnacle & Wolfgang products are manufactured and by which company ? Is it a different one for the polishes and a different one for the waxes ?

Specifically I'm interested to know about the Wolfgang Twins, WDGPS, Fuzion, and Souveran.

Also does any one know what is the Actual percentage of Carnauba Wax in the finished product in both Souveran and Fuzion.

I'm not trying to uncover any secrets here. I'm just kind of peculiar when it comes to manufacturing. I'll give you an example... Can you imagine a Camaro built in Mexico ? I can't.

I want her to carry that proud "Made In U.S.A" stamp on her.

So any possible clarifications would be very much appreciated.

Pinnacle, Wolfgang, DP, Blackfire, and Diamonite are in house brands made by the owners of Autogeek. (PBMG- Stuart, Florida). The products are designed locally and DP and Pinnacle are made in the US. Wolfgang offers some of the best European polymers and a hybrid in design.

Discussing the actual amount of carnauba in any product means very little. It can be measured quite differently from different sources. Wolfgang Fuzion , Pinnacle Souveran, Blackfire Midnight Sun, and DP Max Wax use carnauba in them but are still user friendly in application and design. Using only carnauba would make them a rock (or chips) and unusable. None have any appreciable cleaners or polishes and considered a pure wax.

The Camaro is actually built in Canada. Designed in Australia by Holden. The Camaro hasn't been "made in the USA" for a while. The F bodies were exclusive to Canada.

just sayin'

You're aware that the Camaro is built in Canada... I believe the transmission is built in the US. I like buying products made in the US but if I can find quality elsewhere then I'm game.

Oops... I guess I should have refreshed the page before replying...

Thanks for the responses, and sorry about the "ignorance" for the Camaro. It was just a quick example of something that in my mind represents the US automobile industry.

No apologizes necessary Theo.

Because US manufactures no longer want American workers to manufacture their products in the US, they only want us to buy them without jobs, there's no way to know where somethings actually made.

A great deal of General Motors cars and truck are made in huge plants in Mexico, I've driven by the plants. Many of the components used to assemble these vehicles are manufactured in China then shipped to Mexico.

It's not an ignorance, just a disappointment to discover reality.....

Thanks for the explanation on the various brands. I must admit I've wondered about this.

Thanks Bobby,

I'm aware that a lot of car companies have or had manufacturing or assembling plants in locations other than the country were they originate from. e.g. Porsche in Finland, VW, BMW and Mercedes in the US etc... I was definitely not aware that the Camaro (that I really like by the way) is built in Canada.

I am Greek. My wife is canadian and recently we moved from Greece to Vancouver BC and as I said in my "European eyes" the Camaro along with a few others represent the US auto industry. Thats why I brought her as an example. Ooops:confused: I understand your frustration as an American. China is definitely not my favourite "Made In" country.

Thanks to everyone for the clarification. I 'll be more careful next time.

Bobby,
Any feedback on the Souveran and the Fuzion ?

Thank you for the response Scott.

So If I understand well Wolfgang is not manufactured in the US ? If thats correct then may I ask where is manufactured ? Im interested specifically in Fuzion, Deep Gloss Sealant and the "twins".

The "made in USA" banter especially when it is in relationship to cars has virtually no meaning any more. :( While it is a good political sound bite the reality is different.

Does anyone find it ironic that Toyota, Honda, Suburu and BMW (just to name a few) assemble cars in the USA while Chevy, Ford and Chrysler assemble most of their cars outside of the US?.

Apologies for derailing the thread further.

It doesn't make sense to me either !!! No apologies necessary. I guess some of the best discussions start off with a completely different subject....

I heard today that Chevy is thinking of having the Chevy Volt made in China.

My new truck that I pick-up tomorrow was assembled 2 weeks ago in Dearborn, MI.

Works for me.

The conventional US automakers are "running" from the unions and the "foreign" automakers build their plants in areas that aren't know for unions, usually in the south. We have several mfg plants here in Alabama....all "foreign" automakers.

pinnacle and wolfgang are made here in usa except a few wolfgang products which are manufactured in germany by menzerna if my memory serves me correct.most of the pinnacle/wolfgang products are really similar a lot of people say.autogeek sells sample size product if you want to try them out or if you have other products you can post in the trade thread to try new products while helping others try new products.and to again quote mike phillips "find what you like and use it often"!...and this thread proves my point of why i will not buy a domestic car, atleast japanese car manufacturers take pride in their cars and being made in japan using japanese parts.....that is why i will never own another domestic. out sourcing is what helped bring this economy down.

Yep...but Bobby, your 'vette was made right here in Kentucky (as I'm sure you know)!

I've always been a die hard drive an American car kind of guy. I have never owned anything other than Chrysler or Chevrolet until recently. My entire family owns Chrysler or Checrolet... Except for me. I drive a made in the USA Subaru Legacy... But I'm still the one driving a foreign car...

Just to keep the thread de-railed further lol.......I always tried to buy American cars too. Actually for 3 cars I bought Saturn which was made in the US (even if some parts got made elsewhere). Then I bought a 350Z which while designed in the US, actually is made in Japan (pointing out since many Japanese cars are made here now as was mentioned earlier). However I'm about to return to American. Got a new Jeep Wrangler on the way :D. Built in Ohio.

When I bought my 06' VW Jetta GLI and found out it was made in Mexico I was like WTF!?! Sucks but whatever.
