Ok, so I finally got to doing the corrections to the right rear panel on my truck. As a recap. I have clear coat failure on this panel. There is also severe, I don't know, scratches for lack of a better term, that I believe was done at one of those drive thru washes. I just don't have any proof of that. It has been really bugging me for awhile but I figured that while I cannot get the panel properly cared for right now (i.e. a paint job), I should be able to get it looking much better. My process was to do a waterless wash, clay, Meguiars Ultimate Compound, Optimum Polish and Collinite wax.
I worked on the shaded side of the truck early in the morning so it wasn't too bad. Coolish morning albeit rather damp. I figured that would work out well to try and keep the compound from drying out.
Here are a few before shots:

Then I taped off the top and the reat by the lights and also set a demarcation line to see the differences after compounding it.

Finally, I believe this was after I waxed it.

I am pretty happy with the results.
