Hey Guys

Just picked up a silver Gt mustang vert. I cut and polished the paint but am finding it very difficult to get a good read due to color. I'm using good Led lighting but was hoping maybe someone had some tricks?

On white many time I find that a bright flashlight in a less than bright garage show the most defects.

put in a garage and shut the lights and then shine an led or halogen light on it. you will see everything you have to see.

Looking at the surface from a very shallow angle helps me.

I'll light the surface in a dark garage with a shop light or LED light. I'll then look at the surface from the side with my head very near panel. As you move your head around you'll start to see the right position as the edges of the swirls will start to show.

Dark garage, a single light source several feet away, observe from a shallow angle looking for swirls directly in the reflection of the light source.

Yeah ok that's what I've been doing but wondered if anyone had any tips. Thanks guys
