Working with clear coat failure

It looks much better. I am still amazed with everything that manufactures do these days with concern to production standards that we still see clear coat failure on newer cars.
 
I started with some old mcguires compound, rotary buffer, and a wool pad to get all the peeling clear off. Then I used my GG6 with the yellow scrubbing pad and my famous $5 wax.
I didn't use any good stuff because I knew it was still going to continue peeling.
 
The cheaper the car, in this case an entry cobalt, the lower quality paint and clear jobs. Unfortunately you see this a lot in Florida with the horrible UV rays and constant sunshine.
