Would Purple Clay lighter than color sand

I think the tree sap mist has etched to the clear coat. It flat now but many mist looking dots are still there. I am thinking to get purple clay; i already used grey clay. Thanks I upload pics in my photos gallery

You should post your pics directly to the thread so people can see them.

If the clear coat is in fact etched, you will need to resort to machine polishing in order to level the clear coat.

In extreme instances, wet sanding may be needed after exhausting all machine polishing options and not seeing the desired result.
