Tell me about it :( Today my car was left outside for few hours. When I came back windshield developed crack :mad: Now I have to deal with that :mad:

Heat cracked your windsheild???!:confused: I have a big ole 1200 watt tri pod light. Its so big that I sometimes dont even use it. Its gets real hot, I have to stand at least 10ft away or else I will get baked, def. not a good idea for those hot days.

Thejoyofdriving - The heat is the reason why I wanna get some fluorescent lights, but I wanna know if they're good enough to see imperfections just like halogens do...

I have florescent lights in my garage, I dont think they are as good to see imperfections as halo's.
 
I use a hand held incandescent light. It works pretty good. Can't say how it compares to the halogens since I've never used those. You can move it around very easily to look at the surface at different angles while you're hunting for swirls. The only problem is you need something to hang it on while your working and if you bang it around too much you'll burn out the bulbs. One time I went through three or four bulbs in one detail.
 
In my experience paint imperfections are more visible with tube lights... I actaully could see very little of the swirls and spider veins with the big 500 watt work light.

However, I think you guys just solved my heating issue for this winter!

i think labor day was one of the hottest days of the summer...and today wasn't a slouch either, i wanted to drop kick everyone in the classroom today cuz our class was in the old building at school..where no a/c's exist! hahah

but cali, is the place to be!
