you've worked on building the perfect garage with etched and coated flooring, sources of natural lighting and large interior lights for working late into the night.

so lets select a pressure washer.

in this selection, feel free to combine, mix&match or add something new.

Option 1
- Car port
- mobile gas powered pressure washer

Option 2
- car port
- electric pressure pump connected to clean water source
- ceiling mount swivel

Option 3
- enclosed wash room with over head doors for drive-thru
- electric pressure pump connected to clean water source
- boiler for hot water
- ceiling mount swivel

Option 4
- steamer

what would your wash setup include?
*cant post a cop-out which pushes the detailing duties to another party or mobile detailer*

lets see all the other options!

Can I ask what state you are in, I did not see it in your profile. Asking because of the weather.

Thanks

If funds were unlimited I'd pass on all those options and build me a state of the art Swirlamatic car wash! Hire a few guys and sit back making real money at $9.95 a time. Lets face were only 5 percent of people in the world who cater to or care about perfection. Life would be much easier this way. Clean, Shiney, Swirled up cars all Day! You bet I'll upsell that triple foam clear coat gloss for 3.99! That is the american way! lol

:iagree: but i would add a detail facility on the side of the building where a handful of guys would have some wool pads on a rotary and polish knocking out 15 polish and glaze jobs a day. Charge $50 for a handwax and interior detail, $100 for a 1 step polish and wax with interior. Maybe even add window tinting in a separate bay to maximize profits.

^ What he said. I knew a guy who took one over to help pay for his daughters college and he told me he made enough money to pay it off, send her to college, and stay retired.

F! the "American Way"

label it what you like...
- the correct way of doing things.
- the OCD way of life.
- a garage secluded on private land where you prepare only select automobiles for very select clientele.

when it comes to the masses, the swirl-o-matic works. for a large number of the forums members and the vehicles they own, a swirl-o-matic isnt an option to drive their car through.

so in that light, what are your thoughts?

to answer your ?

climate controlled stand alone 2 bay garage. 1 bay for washing and the second for the rest of the work.

as far as pressure washer goes 3000+ psi electric with diesel fired boiler.

When I build my "dream shop" I plan to put in a wash bay equipped with one of the overhead swivel setups that you'd find in a coin-op car wash bay, complete with foaming wash soap (not the brush, but from the wand) at a push of a button, a spotless rinse filtration system, degreaser, etc.
