sooo hard.. i got most of the swirls off a 10 year old car that has never been detailed using xmt 4 w/ orange pad, and xmt 1 w/ white pad... jesus.


pics later when i finish the car.

That looks interesting, what exactly did you edit?

I know what you mean about detailing vehicles that have been neglected for a very long time, it's a pain to remove swirls and it takes a long process.

The pictures look god, just curious about the editing that's all.

if you look, i photoshopped the pics so you can see the swirls better (so they can't hide in the white:D).

btw, here's one more i took, kinda blurry though :(

BTW, not done with it yet.. that;s just the major swirls... still gotta finish
 
Good luck and the picture looks good, no worries about the blury part I do it all the time.
 
I hate BMW Clearcoats, hopefully my new Menerza will take care of it

That's what Menzerna polishes are for. You will defenetely need some PO106FF ($50 a bottle:o ). This stuff rocks!!!
 
Ive had less problems with BMW ck than Audi ck.

I wonder how it will work with the UDM?
 
I agree on BMW clear. I no longer even attempt them with the PC - straight to rotary.
 
i finally got it! i didn't do the whole car because it was approaching 5 hours for 1 step polish!

i did 2 passes w/ xmt 4 one w/ xmt 3, one with xmt 1, then glaze, then wax! stilll some swirls in there though.

pics later, i'm worn out and i haven't even done the interior yet :(
 
are you thinking about using a Yellow pad? how much did you get out?
