Hey,

So I finally decided to stop hesitating and give my Duragloss products a try. I had ordered Duragloss Total Performance Polish #105 and Duragloss Paste Wax #104 from the Geek a couple of weeks ago but was too scared to try. The G35 currently has a coat of Zaino Z-AIO cleaner polish on it. I washed the car today thoroughly and applied both Duragloss products to the hood.

The LEFT side of the hood (from the camera's POV) has the TPP #105 and the RIGHT side of the hood has the PW #104. The TPP #105 had completely dried within half an hour of the application, while the PW #104 was still not nearly dry. Applying both products was very easy and the TPP #105 was super easy to buff off, it was like butter. After buffing it off, I sprayed Meguiar's Quik Detailer and buffed the area to pickup any remaining residue and it gave off a great gloss. Below are the pictures.

I am just curious do you guys think the #105 or the #104 (or both) were able to clean up the existing coat of Zaino Z-AIO because that would make a big difference. After washing and drying the vehicle, I made no attempt to separately clean up the Z-AIO before applying the Duragloss products to the hood.

Buffed off the Paste Wax and buffed the whole hood with the Quik Detailer again. I didn't really notice a difference sooo...

I applied a coat of Wolfgang Fuzion to the hood. This was my first time using it; I applied it and let it sit for like 15-20 minutes (directions state there is no need to wait for it to dry), and then buffed it off.

Ya I agree with you DG stuffs are nice. I am very happy with my DG105 and it's quite durable for me too. It's also easy to use. Wiping off is easy. It's quite slick too. Tho not as slick as Wolfgang sealant. These two sealant are my favorite.

Paste wax I only like Collinite. Never tried DG's paste b4 tho. :D

Bernard, do you layer the Collinite on top of the Duragloss 105?

DG makes some great products. I like 501, 105, 111 and Track Claw

Wow, Fuzion is really unimpressive.

can you substantiate this with some thoughts. It does sound like you failed to use it properly (its WOWO) but what seems so un-impressive ??

Hi Emile, I don't layer the Collinite above DG105. I use them by themself separately. I don't see/feel the difference in layering products on top of each other. Coz my current car is silver in color. :)

Cool, thanks Bernard.

Killr, I'm going to apply a coat of DG 105 to the whole car. Then maybe I will apply a coat of Fuzion. Can I assume that the DG 105 will clean up the car's existing coat of Zaino Z-AIO?

I do not think 105 will clean the AIO. I also would not top 105 with Fuzion. I would use one or the other.

DG 105 is excellent, haven't used Fuzion so don't know but others said great things about it

I just applied an entire coat of Duragloss 105 to the vehicle and then buffed it out after it dried. The cleaning power seemed to be on the very light so I doubt the Zaino is gone. I don't know what I'm going to do but I don't like the way it is now, with a coat of Z-AIO and a coat of Duragloss 105 (and maybe still that coat of Fuzion on the hood, lol).

i would agree, DG makes some excellent products! it's a shame they don't have better marketing...

I too dont believe Duragloss TPP will remove all of Zaino AIO. I would strip it as possible with polish or remove with iso wipe as possible. I am sorry but when originally read the post it sounded like you tried Fuzion and was unimpressed with the wax. I wondered specifically what you did not like ??

killrwheels, I think you should disregard the comment because I didn't give the Fuzion a fair chance. I applied Fuzion to the hood of the vehicle after applying the DG 105 on top of the existing coat of Z-AIO (I was assuming that the DG 105 would get rid of the Z-AIO).

Anyways, maybe it needs a day or two to fully cure or work or whatever? I just felt that the hood had more of a glowing effect (along with the reflectivity) whereas the Zaino Z-AIO gives off really high gloss and clarity. As I said before, the Fuzion didn't have a fair chance as it wasn't applied to a properly-prepped surface and I firmly believe that correct preparation is the key to correct results.

I am going to order some P21S Paintwork Cleansing lotion and use that on the G35 and then apply a coat of Fuzion. Maybe I should get the Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant to maintain the gloss of Fuzion once it is applied??

DG105 will not have a problem bonding to Zaino ;) nor will it remove it.

I thank you for the update .... in truth you are very correct. Zaino and most sealants will give off a crisp reflective look and some gloss. Waxes like Fuzion offer more depth and wetness, but the sharpness seems tuned down a bit. Nothing wrong with either, its personal preference.
