WOW! what a OTC find!

Carquest sells DG and if you find one of their "paint" stores, you can get Megs and 3M. I found one that carries Automagic - now that's a very under-rated but incredible line. I'd put their soaps, cleaners and dressings up against any available now.

Nothing is more exciting than getting a big box from UPS with the PBMA taped wrapped around it but it's also nice to have a convenient access to a reputable product that you can go pick up down the street.

Megan-Do you think Max will open a retail store chain? I guess it's nice to dream.

My local pepboys has a selection of the 3M (professional line) compounding and polishing pastes and waxes.

I think what I do not like about stoner's most is the sprayer itself. It seems to clean ok but the spray pattern seems be less fine as others so when it hits more vertical glass it immediately runs down the glass rather than a scatter pattern.

I agree, the sprayer is sub-par. I prefer Stoner's aerosol for auto application. I picked up a bunch of the spray bottles for around-the-house use when AutoZone or Advanced Auto was fire-saleing 'em for $.95/bottle.

I want to try the glass cleaner and grime destroyer

I checked the local Pep boys in Northern CT and they didn't
have the Surf City or anything else except for your typical
OTC stuff.

Go to the Surf City Garage website and type in your zip code in their dealer locater and you'll find the closest vendor near you.:)

The only OTC microfibers worth anything are the ones from Target. Theyre decently soft. Everything else will shed and do more harm than good (for paint anyway)

YES! I READ YOU'RE WRITE UP. I WENT OUT TO MY LOCAL PEPBOYS AND SURE ENOUGH I FOUND THE TIRE CLEANER. NOT TOO SURE IF IT WILL WORK BUT I WILL GIVE IT A SHOT. I USED THERE SHAMPOO AND IT WAS PRETTY GOOD:righton:

Hey I was wondering if there was a good waterless wash that can be picked up locally?

That depends on what brand you're looking for and where you live. You could try looking online to see if someone in your city sells what you're looking for.

I could be wrong, but as far as I know of, Surf City doesn't sell a waterless wash.

I know I don't have any credibility here, but I have used several of the SCG products.

I have 2 staples from them - Beyond Black and Dash Away.
The Beyond Black is very easy to apply, and lasts easily 2 weeks, through rain or shine. It is a Semi-Gloss to matte finish, which I like for most applications. It also lasts for a LOOONG time. About 2 sprays will cover most tires. It is a very thin formula so it goes far. It also has never shown any evidence of sling off to me.

The Dash Away is (like someone else said) extremely versatile. I use it on all interior surfaces for a nice fresh clean look (it leaves no evidence of it being used). I also used it this weekend on some carpet stains successfully. And the smell is great.

I use the grime destroyer, and don't plan on changing from it, but can't say there is nothing better for me. It does take you down to the top coat of the vehicle, taking wax etc. with it, so be ready to re-wax after using it.

The wheel cleaner is decent, but again, I am not set on it. I just ordered me some PB Rinse off wheel cleaner from AG yesterday.

The Clearly Better is the only glass cleaner I am currently using. I switched to it from SIG Spray Foam. Like it much better than it.

I have also tried their VooDoo Blend leather rejuv. Not really impressed with it. It is a nice cream that is easy to use, but it does leave leather feeling pretty slick, which most customers (I've had) don't like. Plus, most of the cleaning is accomplished with Dash Away anyhow. I suppose I should wait to try this on some very dried out leather before I am too harsh with it.

Know too that you can order 2L refills on their stuff from their website.

So on what I have tried, the overall consensus is I like it all.
Some of their stuff is staying with me, while I won't mind trying some other stuff on the other products.

good to know. everyone runs out of things at times and knowing where to get a replacement when needed is good.
