Hello everyone. I'm new to the auto geek world and I have many questions, but I'm only going to start with one of them.

The idea of wipe on, walk away sealants is very interesting. Spending only 10 minutes every couple months sounds amazing.

Can a product like Blackfire Crystal Seal be used as my only protection product? I'm talking about using it by itself and not as a topper for another wax/sealant. Could this keep my daily driver protected by itself?

Depending on the paints condition,
definitely wowa are amazing products

:welcome: ...to AGO!

BF Cystal Seal is a Sealant:
a "stand alone" last step product (LSP).

Sure! I have used Crystal Seal that way on my Daughter's car - I just redo it every few months...

I used to use a similar product from Zaino in a similar manner on my own cars...

I think it would depend on the climate where you live.

If I lived in a climate where I could reasonably detail my car year-round I'd probably try a product like Hydro Max and just apply it every couple of months.

If you need to go through a long winter like I do, it may not be a good idea as I don't think they would hold up long enough.

I used BF Crystal seal as my winter sealant during last years Midwest winter. I did top with spray wax occasionally and did at least one BFCS touch up and it worked great.

Try ultima paint guard plus. You will love it.

I have used Wolfgang Liquid Seal as a standalone once and lasted a month or 2. It was so easy a caveman can do it.

Aside from cost, it's hard to beat Hydro2 for a quick sealant. But yes, it is certainly possible to rely on such products (including crystal seal) as the only protection.

It will hold up just fine, assuming tha your putting it on a clean surface to begin with.

I've used BFCS and Zaino clear seal with much success in the past! I have Ultima paint guard plus in my collection now and it's really AWESOME stuff. If you wanna go "outside the box" go with Ultima but BFCS is also a winner.

Thank you everyone. I just placed an order for some Blackfire WDAFPP and CS. The former is for when I have the time and the latter is for when I don't.

Works fine in a pinch for sure. I have both BF and WG WOWA versions. I don't like it near as well as Megs M21 2.0 or WGDGPS 3.0 (WOWO the both of them) but it'll provide protection on a well maintained surface.

Where I really like them is in trunk and hood jambs, door sills, door jambs and inside the gas cap. Super easy, no residue, and nice shine.

How does Ultima's paint guard plus compare to PowerLock?
