WTB: Quality Carnuba Wax

How would you describe your car?

Daily driver?
Garage kept?
Garage queen?

:)

Mike,

Those pictures are Amazing, depth gloss and clarity are off the chart and thanks for taking the time to post great information and techniques along with pictures which helps me for sure!

Daily driver? Yes

Garage kept? Not really but will keep in garage more often after detail.

I really like the fact that the Black Label is hard wax and that can be especially good with the hot and sandy conditions here in NM and its definitely on my list.

Thanks,

Here're the results of my detail two days ago using Meguiar's M205, Ultimate Wax followed by some Meguiar's M26 Yellow Wax; Utilizing Meguiar's G110 DA on a polishing pad and wax applied with a finishing black pad. Nice smooth wet finish...

Any reason why you just don't stick with this combo?

Where would you guys toss WG Fusion in the mix?

Fuzion would be pretty similar to SSII. Carnauba with polymers. It's got a nice shine and brings out metal flake well. Doesn't quite have the depth of a straight up carnauba like Souveran but it's a great product.

That'd be my question too. IMO, M26 is a beauty wax that is hard to beat in the looks department. Unfortunately, on a DD with minimal garage time, it just doesn't hold on to that stunning look as long as I'd like. I use it on my garage queen but my DD gets ULW which displays some of the carnauba characteristics, slight paint darkening, warm glow vs. cold plastic wrap.

I really like this combo and have been using for about 6 years and thought it was time to try something different too see if I can get better results.

:D

Speaking from experience and the owner of a silver car, one can only do so much with silver. I would stick with a sealant rather than a carnauba to get the glossy look from a sealant. But there is nothing wrong with finding something new. I would agree that Blackfire paint sealant does look great on a light colored car.

If you really want to go bat house crazy...there is always Meguiar's M-16.

It's no longer easily available in the U.S., but is available overseas.

Kevin Brown (buffdaddy.com) had some in the past, do a search is my suggestion.

I was really hesitating trying Fuzion on my silver G35X. I didn't know if it would make that much of a difference. These images are from last September. I had applied Opti-Seal last May and topped with Fuzion.

It gave my 10 year old daily driver Infiniti, a glow and wetness I've never seen before.

Here's a picture of the Pinnacle Black Label wax. Much more clarity and depth and the metallic flakes are more prevalent...

I love Zymol's basic waxes, like Creame, and Carbon. I've also used Megs M26 for about 20 years now.

I'm mostly waxing over a sealant though.

Victoria Chaos is absolutely stunning on lighter colored vehicles. I won a jar of chaos back in 2011 and forgot all about it until a month ago. I used it on a white/beige mini cooper and it blew my mind. Extremely easy on/off. Slickness still on par after 26 days or so.
