XMT 360 Spray Wax vs. Optimum Car Wax

IMHO, Optimum edges out both old and new XMT.
It is not close when comes to price though. XMT is $16 per 12oz.
Optimum is $40 per 128oz or $3.75 per 12oz.

SonOfOC, had you done the comparison between ocw and new xmt spray wax ?

I am ocw guy and have heard great thing about new xmt spray wax, really want to know side by side comparison between the two. If new xmt is better than ocw in term of looks and durability, I will add new stuff to my arsenal Im the MAN

Optimum Car Wax is solvent based, so its a step above most water based spray wax's (like XMT).

Optimum car wax last's longer than any other spray product IME. It also flash dries very easily, and you can even apply it via DA and a finishing pad. Its a great product.

For me personally, I am really liking the XMT spray wax I just got. its super slick.

Another amazing spray wax that is underratted is Prima Hydro spray. The amazing thing about this product is how soft it makes the paint feel. It add's a weird feel to the paint that feels amazing. also very slick and durability is incredible. IME it lasts longer and stays slicker than any other water based spray wax.

I may be the only one, but I'm a bit disappointed with the new xmt 360.

It is streaky, but I find OCW to be finicky as well.

I find it just as easy to add another coat of a nice paste than to continuously chase the streakiness of many spray waxes.

I'm grumpy with a black car though. LOL

Wouldn't a gallon of either last like 5 years on one car? I found out the hard way to not buy gallons of anything except detail spray, apc, shampoo, or waterless wash. It just takes me too long to use it up. I guess if you were doing it for a living that would be different.

i think i'll have to follow this rule.

i just bought a bought a 22oz bottle of aquawax for $8.99 to top off my DG products. Have never tried it, but this sure seems to be the best value. (OCW 17oz bottle 14.99)

Its one of the better spray wax's. its a spray sealant that can be used as a drying aid on a wet car. I prefer products that can be used on wet cars. as it eliminates having to use a QD to help dry, THEN a spray wax.

I switch between Duragloss and Prima Hydro spray. both are amazing IMO.

I'll take the XMT 360 off of your hands if you don't want it. Let me know.

Why would you waste your time applying a spray wax with a DA polisher?? :dunno:
That makes no sense at all to me.

I have no idea to be honest, but its the rave on the Optimum forum. I have never done it, but supposedly its more effective and almost as fast to use. Word on the optimum forum is that unlike other spray wax's OCW can be worked into the paint via machine for far superior results in gloss and protection.

I know some of you guys are on the Optimum forum, so if you care to share your experience, please do ! :)
