Sorry, but I have another "worth the cost" question. I've been using Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo and love the stuff. Time to buy another bottle and after talking to my dad, I noticed the XMT is half the price. He swears by the stuff. I would imagine this may be part of the whole system approach to products, but I'd imagine the XMT is pretty good stuff. Is the bodywork shampoo really that much better to justify double the price??

I think I'm gonna try a bottle for my own opinion, but thought I'd ask anyways to see what's out there. Also asking mostly because you don't hear too much about the XMT line in general on the forums.

Did you mean Meguiars NXT Generation Car Wash? If so your dad is a wise man..take his advise!

I think the pinnacle is WAY overpriced and not my favorite. . Haven't used the XMT yet to give you an honest opinion.

The XMT Gel Shampoo and Conditioner is actually a real nice car wash soap, it offers excellent cleaning and sudsing and smells good too. It's pH balanced and non-detergent.

Nope...I meant the XMT line made by Pinnacle. NXT was great also. Used it for a while but then switched to Mothers because I get all my Mothers stuff at cost. I ended up likign the Mothers every bit as good as the NXT. Neither of which suds and last like Pinnacle BodyWork. But the XMT line still seems to be well within the quality you'd expect from Pinnacle. It doesn't seem to be a lower (quality) line of product made by Pinnacle, just a "different" line. Just hard to find much feedback on it.

Kinda agree and kinda why I started this thread. Is it worth it? Well, like I said above, it's definately better than most OTC stuff I've used. But is it worth it compared to the XMT wash?? I'm thinking not when the XMT is exaclty half the price of the same quantity.

I asked a similar question about the difference between the two lines of clay from them as it was the same dillema (the XMT clay was half the price of the poly) but through discussion learned that they're slightly different. Wondered the same about the wash now since I need a restock??!!

i think ted did a review on the xmt soap-really nice review

It's comparable to the WG wash, sans a bit of lubricants. Great stuff overall. I do like the smell of WG more. I cannot compare it to Pinnacle, however.

At a minimum, I'm gonna get the small bottle while it's BOGO give it a try!

Ted...I dug up your review and made a request!

Galaxy, have you tried Optimum Car Wash?

Well...got to test drive the XMT this weekend. Very, very, very good stuff and Ted's review was spot on from my impression. I've not used a ton of other products to provide the educated response he did in his reveiw, but will simply default to everything he wrote about it. I used 2oz in a 5 gallon bucket and it was way beyond plenty! You could probably really fine tune that down a bit.

Long story short, I have only two additional comments beyond what was in Tod's review...

The XMT most definately makes it the better purchase over the Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo...I just didn't get/see how the Pinnacle is twice the product making it worth twice the price. Would love a pro review or side by side comparison to see what's hidden there.

The XMT doesn't smell near as good as the Pinnacle. So, if you're willing to purchase based on odor, go with the Pinnacle for sure, otherwise...

As a side note...got to use the XMT 180 this weekend right behind the XMT wash. Was extremely impressed with that product as well...to the point I want to get some!! I don't think it's a WOWO (the label on the tub says allow to dry to a haze) but it is super easy to use and comes off great with no dusting. I haven't done a comparison on the same vehicle yet, but I plan to. I absolutely loved what it did for the pearl white on my dads Lexus and will be doing it on my vehicles to compare to the SS II.
