XMT or MEGS or ADAMS?

I've been detailing with the PC for 3 years. I am WELL ready and itching for the Flex. Seems like a great medium.

I've been using Adams products and a few chemical guys... but I want to be able to work on more severe swirls as well as lighter ones. I know all the companies offer different kinds but what DO YOU LIKE about XMT, Megs, and Adams?... For me Adams is a little weak although really really user friendly...

So do I buy my Flex with XMT or Megs?
 
Our of the three I'd say Meguiars.

I could get by with only Meg's products easily. How many other lines can you say that about.
 
I have a plethora of both Adams and Megs products. I love Adams towels and applicator pads but when it comes to compounds and polishes they fall short. I recently returned all my swirl and haze remover and machine fine polish for some other products.

Adams seems to be more geared towards beginners, with all the color coding, videos, directions and easy of use. I am always testing Adams vs Megs products and it's not Megs always winning but the results doesn't justify the cost of Adams.

I detailed half a car with Megs 105/205 and Adams SHR/MFP and then asked the owner to decide which he liked better w/o telling him which was which and he picked Megs.

Go for Megs!
 
Agree about Adams.....I really like the wash pads, accessories. I still think their synthetic wash pad is the best thing for washing a car that I have ever used and I have boxes of wash mitts, pads, etc.

But for "serious" paint correction and maintenance you simply cannot go wrong with Megs. They have everything you would ever need for care car. Adams disciples usually talk on their forums about the Wally World Megs products as being OTC junk...but the fact of the matter is that Megs has a great line of products for both consumer and professionals at a "cost-effective" price point. There is NOTHING cost effective about Adams products....and I swear their polishes and protection products don't last long. You constantly have to keep ordering new product (duhhhhh)....

:iagree: I have more Meguiar's products then anyone else. To me they are a great middle ground between price point, variety of products, and great products
 
That's the great thing about AG and this forum. You can get virtually all the top brands with expert reviews and advice.

No single brand makes the best of everything, and Adams is very far from it. I used most of their products and only like their wash pad and QD. Adam's compounds and polishes are horrible.

For paint correction, take a look at Meguiars and Menzerna along with MF pads from Optimum.
 
I agree. I LOVE Adams wash pad, Detail spray, buttery wax, but as for actual polishing and buffing it seems to fall short.

I was looking into Menzerna, but I really like the package together for XMT (Pinnacle)... anyone use those?

Definitely Meguiars. Available OTC and really good products.
 
Never tried Adams. Megs 105 is a pain but it works. I love menzerna. Ease of use, fantastic results. I think Powerfinish is 1 of the most overlooked products out there. For most jobs, Powerfinish is it for me, very versitile. Finishes down nice and corrects. Want to try power gloss. if it close to 105, I'm going with it.
