I am not energetic enough to even think about applying a product by hand to actually "polish" a car. However a friend of mine has a Tahoe (bought new 14 months ago)which has never seen a coat of wax or sealant. It has very little wrong with the paint in the way of swirls, etc. Since correction is not really needed and I have some xmt360 I have no intention of using myself, do you all thing it would be a decent cleaner when used by hand in this situation?

I use XMt 360 by hand on the front of my car during love bug season. It helps remove the bugs and junk that doesn't come out during the wash and it leaves behind a good coat of protection too.

I haven't done the whole car by hand though but it is really easy to work with and is a great one step product.

yes, it works by hand, its not menzerna im used to, and definetly leaves the arms sore after a whole car, but if he wants to let him do it, will look nice, but even if you cant see much damage, a untouched car for over a year thats been sitting in a dealership could prolly use something stronger

AIO products typically don't offer any real paint correction when applying by hand, but they do serve as an awesome cleaner. When using by hand, directions usually state to work in an overlapping motion using moderate pressure for some polishing action, but I have found that just applying the stuff like it's a wax will clean up the paint quite decently and leave some nice protection behind too.

What is the Main Difference Between XMT 180 and XMT 360 ?

Thanks a bunch guys. I'm going to send it to him and let him have at it. Sounds like it will do a good job cleaning by hand. Then he can top off with a wax, or from what I have read a sealant once cured.
