Xpel Ultimate: prep and is it worth it?

Bob - Why do you say get the full hood?

Rob

I'm not Bob ... but the first time I did a partial hood film on a car (2007 Guards Red Cayman) and I took it off and went back to bare. Reason -- I got tired of dealing with always seeing the edge of the film. It was impossible to keep clean of wax, dirt, etc. and once I noticed it starting, then it was the first thing I would see every time I walked up to my car. The second time with a partial bra is when I bought a used 2013 Boxster Guards Red late last year. It had a partial bra. Same problem in that I could spot the edge of the film every time I came up to the car. This time I had it removed and replaced with a full hood and fender coverage. While it was a lot more expensive ($1300) I liked the fact that there was no edge to see and the Xpel Ultimate should help me reduce the rock chips I got in the Cayman. For me, a partial bra is not an answer.
