OK, so here’s how the test went.......
Xtreme Solutions Topper is “sort of” streaky over the TAC Systems Shinee wax, especially under a paint defect light. If you do half a door at a time for instance, the point at which you stopped will show streaks. If you do the full panel, seam to seam, it works better.
Is it slick and glossy? Is it pretty dust free? Absolutely, but if it provides no extra protection and also streaks, it’s not worth it IMHO.
Now realize this is on super soft Porsche black paint and under a super bright hand held unit that will highlight the finest of swirls, so it might be better suited to lighter colors. Will the average person see the minor streaks, probably not, and very likely they won’t show outside at all. When I look at properly corrected black paint under the light, I expect to see perfectly flat paint, without any swirls or streaks, regardless of where the shine level is at the time. So, I may be (am), much more OCD than most.
And even though the TAC Solutions has to be brought in from Canada, I think it is much better suited for use as a Topper/Detail spray that offers some protection.
