I had a 2 horus long "heart to heart" style chat with my supervisor at work today and im not sure how it really started....all i know was i was gettin in trouble for my attendance again and then it moves onto goals and army experiences and all over the place....and the entire time im into the conversation, and now that i look back on it im not sure if it was a good or bad thing because now i cant claim ignorance as an excuse !

A few weeks ago I also had a "heart to heart" style chat with my boss. It was only about an hour. Mine was about my pay. I think he's hates me now. :D

lol..you guys are funny. The only time I ever had a "heart to heart" chat with supervisor is when things were going down hill, atmosphere was down, productivity was down...well you can imagine it and all the supervisors wanted to change the mood around the office. I don't get bummed out very often but I sure told my supervisor how I felt and how things were and how they need to change. Supervisors were blown away hahahaha.

In general it's good to have "heart to heart" conversations here and there, brings everyone to the same playing field. Especially if things are a little shaky.

I get the fun job of giving the heart to hearts over the summer lol

Go with your gut feeling about it. How did you feel about it at the time and immediately thereafter? The feeling before you worried and over-analyzed it - go by that.
Besides, a talk does not mean you are "in trouble" - you know if you have done something you shouldn't or not . . .

I am sorry White95DodgeRam - I hope your day goes better!

I try to remember this - when something small happens at work, I realize there are a bunch of bigger issues they are dealing with - and some real big slackers - that is where their attention truly is.

Sparkie,
No one could hate YOU!!!!

it was strange to be hoenst with you because instead of it being work related it was more personal i should say, she majored in the same area i am ( bussiness management) and well it went from that to what i expect to do with my degree and what i intend to persue as a carrer after i graduate and other stuff......

and to top it all off i was just supposed to be in there getting my yelling/final warning about my attendance.....they messed up my schedule pretty bad and i missed alot of days because of it due to plans i had made....

all in all ive never once had a conversation like that, not even when i would be talking to my sgt's in the army.

I think some Supervisors could have Jesus as a employee, and they would find fault.
