You know you have been seriously bitten by the detailing bug when you find yourself:

Does anyone else sweep the sidewalk/curb/gutter, along with the driveway to ensure your vehicle doesn’t park over dirt which may kick up onto it? I do.

Not to mention, when I stare at my vehicle I like it to be clean all around it too. Lol

1. Putting up new shelving for new product purchases.
2. Filling up closet with purchases to keep them out of the heat/cold.
3. Wondering about getting the $500 gift certificate just in case.

It’s a sickness. Lol.

All of the above including:

1. Using my wrist or forearm to close the door to avoid fingerprints.
2. Allowing only water inside the vehicle. Soda, coffee, tea, juice or any non clear flavored liquids are prohibited.
3. Driving on the wrong side of the street to avoid puddles.
4. Keeping a clean microfiber towel in the seatpocket to remove window smudges or dust the dash.
5. Being appalled by the scratches and swirls in other cars with dark colored paint.
6. Never leaving the house with dull or dirty tires.

Waiting on a Saturday morning at 5AM for dawn to hit. So you can hit the driveway and enjoy your hobby out of the sun.

When you ponder if $50 is too much for a gallon of soap.

I got a new one this morning. Using Invisible Glass to clean my glasses.

When the winter months hit you shop the sales and stock up for next spring. And you are PO for a few months cause it's way to cold to wash.

You look at the temp hoovering around freezing, and you wonder...can I get away with a wash?

It was 5 Celcius (41 Fahrenheit) last week and I washed the car. Fingers were numb at the end. This was my final application of High Gloss for the year as well.

We live in a modern world of warm water and insulated work gloves, dude.

Another new one. I was using my new car vac and it runs off the 12v socket. Well I guess I ran it a bit too long because the next day I had to call AAA to get my battery jumped.

Water in buckets was warm. Hose connected to Pressure Washer did not have access to warm water. Insulated gloves are being looked into. Thanks!

I put napkins, a bag, and old MF towel on my daughter’s lap when she would have some food in the car. In the end she didn’t.

View attachment 65265Hello,

I’m bringing my boat to storage the 17th. It looks so good after Detailing I didn’t want it to get dirty so I put some shrink wrap on it.

I wash my cars during the New England winters on a regular basis. I am always warm except my hands do get cold. At first I used long rubber work gloves with very little insulation. My fingers were numb after 10 minutes. Now I use Glacier Glove Ice Bay ice fishing gloves. They are thin enough where you can still get the feel of tools and towels but they are thick enough where your hands stay warm in ice cold water. You can get them at Dick's Sporting Goods or Bass Pro Shop.
