You too can burn paint with your 3401, follow these easy steps!

Thanks Mike, I should have been more diligent about documenting the process and all I have is the one lame cell phone pic LOL :) We worked on the truck for several months so it was: go over, work for an hour or two, then leave. Great experience though. I learned a lot from it and I'm currently replacing the bed on my current pickup which I AM documenting so I should have that ready for spring. :)

I'm not trying to take your thread off-topic but what is the year and model of your truck?

:)

No problem. Mine is a 97 F250 Heavy Duty (square body style) that has a beautiful cab, but the bed has the typical New England camouflage over the wheel wells. Unfortunately, nothing too unique, just a diamond in the rough.

The paint was neglected and had some brush rub on it, but once I polished it, it really came out beautiful. I only did a portion to test if it would recover before I bought the paint for the bed.

It started out as a cheap work truck for dump runs and picking up pellets...and of course I couldn't leave it that way so I've already replaced the grill, headlights, and bezels. I wind up restoring everything LOL. I'll get some pics up.

Apparently I need to take more pics of this too LOL. Here's an after shot of the hood and the fender.

I think mike wanted the year/model of the black truck.:) sweet rigs though I have a F-350 myself, but it's a SD instead of the OBS
