I dont know if this has been posted, but I thought this would be fun. What would you have in your "Dream Garage"? For me it would be:

Full A/C and Heat
Insulated Walls (FIB)
Sound Proofed Walls
Checkerboard style b/w tile with a large cutout drain in the middle for water
Built in jacks to raise my car
50ish" Plasma (Pioneer/Samsung) with Surround Sound :D
Huge Refrigerator
Laz-e boy for when I want to take a "break" (great idea whoever suggested that!)
And just for fun, a keypad+fingerprint scaneer so no one could get into my :buffing: lair. Haha

What would you put in your garage?

i would definitely have some in-wall shelves for storing stuff and some hot women

Like mine just the way it is.When you been working for new car dealership for the better part of my life i enjoy coming home to my plan old garage LOL .Has enough tools ,jacks, and lighting just to get some light work done. But agree a lift would be nice i have an extra one at my shop ,Sissor jack maybe it will find it's way home

I am in the process of designing mine now . To start out with 60'x90' , insulated , and heated . Three lifts inside , seperate areas for work and storage of cars . One seperate room for nostalgia stuff and decorated like a 60's ice cream parlor , complete with juke box and working grill . But of course a cooler with beer . This will be built while we are having the new house built .

A garage with storage for 5 cars, a work bay with lift, a wash bay and a second floor that has my train room.

5 car bay,with 2 lifts,heated,and AC, Natures Stone Flooring Blue in color,of course drains,Great Lighting, and a 9' Pool Table !

...a Lambo and a Bentley.

Room for 7 cars, and a double-sized work area with a drainage system that can be covered completely and still look nice if what is being done on that side is not cleaning. A retractable skylight on that side as well, and plenty of power outlets. Then all the basics, plenty of lights, work bench, storage, etc. I see no problem with the garage being as big as or bigger than the rest of the house :P

I have to agree with the stuff you guys said. But for my wash bay, I would also want streams of jets that spray water along the entire under-carriage.

definately plenty of storage and a drainage system in floor so i can wash in the garage out of the elements. a washer and dryer as well so i could easily wash all my towels

Holy s&*t that sounds awesome. How about an extra room for your buddies to stay over.

My first bay would have a mechanics' pit so I could work under the car without haveing to put the car on a lift.
My second bay would have a lift.
My third bay would be my wash/detail bay.
Already have the T.V., surround sound and the fridge! I just need two more bays, and I can get started!

My garage would be two stories with bedroom on 2nd floor have 5 bays two lifts, wash bay with drainage system, HVAC, bathroom with a shower, 60" LCD samsung TV, sound system, Paint booth. Black and white checker board tiled floor. AWD Dyno for tuning purposes and I would be set.

When I build my house, I am custom designing about everything. The garage will have a few bays.

For sure it will have a lift, tiled floor. I will also have an indoor wash area with barriers that pull out to keep it dry. It will also have a chill area. Big flatscreen that will be on tracks on the wall and can be moved all around the garage depending on where you are.

It will also have an area for my electrical engineering work. It will be pretty freakin awesome :) It will be a good investment IF I ever sold it hehe

A paint booth and all the goodies. It would make a great place to wax and buff.

My dream garage is a work (sometimes nitemare ) in progress. 30x40 with the back wall done in cabinets by Premier . A twin post 10,000lbs lift that isn't fully installed yet.Over the years I have been trying to purchase things with my mad money when mom isn't paying attention.Got a hanging gas furnace for heat and a portable A/C for a little help in the summer.I 've collected a bead blast cabinet from a bike shop going out of business,a hobart welder from ebay and a few metal working and fabrication tools (metal working is a hobby as is detailing) Have cable but tv's are leftovers from the house (flat screen 19" and old 27" unit). Fridge for adult beverages. Now if I could get a storage building done for the mowers and lawn and pool equip which dosen't belong in a garage. LOL
