I'm getting my 2 for 1 deal on Souveran today, the same day I need to do a big detail on my truck (mettalic grey).

I have allot of sealants, and I want to put a base of sealant down first, then 24hrs and souveran. The sealant would be put over PO85RD polish.

I have

Wolfgang
Jetseal
105
Zaino Z-2 and Z-5
M21
EX-P
EX
Opti-Seal

What would yall put under Souveran, or what works with it well?

I am no expert, but I kind of like opti-seal on grey metallic. I have a flint grey metallic and I was recommended 4* upp and sig II which I am gonna try first chance in spring after a good menzerna polish job. I was told soveran can actually mute the metallics and sig II is a better choice for those. I am sure the pro's will chime in for you soon. I actually have soveran coming in today as well. Gonna use it on my black lacrosse.

Of those listed I only have 105 and it's awesome on light colors. There have been many pics on here of WG DGPS topped with Souveran that always seem impressive.

I forgot I also have AJ.

I was either thinking WDGS or maybe even Souveran topped with OS.

I don't know Brandon..I don't think you've got enough sealants!!

I have had a sample of Jetseal for sometime now. I and recently got a wdgs and both of these went on about the same and while the WDGS looked great on light metal flake the JS made my black wheels look better than they've ever looked.... I'm sold on both, but I DG105 is still on my A-List.

Make sure you do an IPA 50-50 wipedown after the PO85RD
That said, this is my list of favorite sealants that make part of my arsenal:

-RejeX
-Prima Epic
-Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant
-AJ-Trigger

I've been wanting to try DG-105. I'll get it next time :)

when i used sov (which wasnt for long) i would use WGDGOPS. I dont like sealents but this is one i like.. so my vote goes fro WGDGS

Here's a couple pics of Souveran Paste over Wolfgang DGPS.

My God Gary those look gorgeous good job.
Edit: My vote WG it's the only sealant I've used more then once and keep reaching for it (I'm a nuba guy). WG looks great on light colors (well white at least).

I like PGP, Jetseal, AJT and ZCS...then top with Souveran or other top end carnauba.

Just curious why is that? I used it the other day and topped it with JS and didn't do the wipedown and everything worked great.

That said Brandon1 my vote would be JS

some polishes could have a filler or oil in it that could react differently with the curing process of sealant. I have never found any difference with 085 either ...

Scott is correct. This is very true when applying sealants no matter what you use, whether is Menzerna or any other good polish, as sealants need a nice clean surface to bond to...

Wow I have done a lot of sealants and I have never done a wipe down after a polish and I've never had one not cure. I had heard this with some glazes but not with a polish. I have used a lot of different polish/sealant combos and haven't had a problem yet.
