Your help pls: a cheap hotel in Tennessee.

We want to get away in the 1st week of August. We are looking for somewhere that is basically an easy one day drive from Detroit. We're looking for a hotel that is decent with a nice pool for the kids. What sites are good for finding good deals on hotels? I'm thinking in the Tennessee area, but not necessarily there.

Since you are in Detroit, head up to northern Michigan, some beautiful lakes/parks.
 
Trip Advisor has a lot of hotel reviews from your average vacationers. Value, location, sleep quality, cleanliness, bed bugs, If there is noisy remodeling, non smoking rooms that smell of smoke etc.
