Whats everybodys best method of drying the car after washing? I know that blowing air is the best for as for those that dont have that acces what do you guys use that dosent leave swirls behind? Im curious to know because i am still debating on what to buy to dry my car! Just wondering what most of you use that is effective?

I have read here people use detailing spray to aid with drying the car. I usually blow dry most of the car then wipe down with Cobra waffle weave.

Water sheeting method, blow dry w/ leaf blower, ww towel, shag eurow for touch up.

blower (leaf) , Guzzler after spritzing with detail spray. Blotting or lightly swiping over finish.

An electric Leaf Blower.

Microfiber Drying Towel

Then a once over with Optimum Spray Wax or Pinnacle Souveran Spray Wax...:props:

I seem to be the only one using a California Water Blade. I follow up with The Absorber, then carefully vacuum up trouble areas(mirrors, door handles, body trim) with the shop vac.

I am way too paranoid of getting a small bit of dirt on a California Water Blade and putting scratches into the paint.

Currently I use sheeting action, followed by WW towels primed with FK425.

I use one of the waffle weave microfibers and spray some poorboys QD without any wax in it or anything. it helps gets a more cleaner dry.

If I don't have access to a leaf blower at the time, I flood the panels, the use a WW MF and some quick detail to lightly dry the areas left. It is more of a blotting. The I follow up with a very thick plush MF and some duragloss agua wax.

I rinse the blade before AND after every use.

I use the sheeting method then follow up with the super guzzler towels.

I'm still a loyal user of the orginal California Water Blade, Cobra Guzzler HD Gold Waffle Weave Drying Towel, gas leaf blower.
Then ending up with the Cobra Guzzler HD Gold Waffle Weave Drying Towel again.

I use the sheeting method, followed by a leaf blower to get anything that's left in the crevices out. Then follow that up with the Cobra HD guzzler, blotting the spots where there are any water left.

My leaf blower actually crapped out on me right before winter, so I've been using some quick detailer and the guzzler, without any issues. I'll be picking up a cheapo leaf blower in the coming weeks.

I too prefer to blot dry with a foam core WWMF. I prefer the Mothers Performance Drying Towel to the HD's. I dont use a blower. I use DG AW when I do a 2 bucket wash. I prefer ONR or UWW+ before I have to do a wash.

I use a Poorboy's DMT or a PB's waffle weave towel. If they're good enough for wiping off wax they're good enough for drying, however I do not own a black car.

I blot with ww towel then follow up with megs last touch and a plush mf.

Nice tips to read, thanks

I have a black non metallic car and drying is a pain. I have tried the in the past real chamois, the Absorber and Cobra guzzler and it's so easy to make micro marring. Was about to try this coming Spring a thick microfiber with a bit of quick detailer but I believe I will now also buy a leaf blower !
