You do know your going to need a DA Polisher eventualy, right?!?!?

lol the DA was the first thing I purchased. I have hand waxed before and it was a no brainer going to machine.

It depends upon what is being done. If the interior needs shampooing, then the doors should be left open to allow it to dry out while you wax and apply dressing to the rest of the car. If you clean the engine, that is first, and then tires and wheelwells, and then wash the exterior.

Engine bays are dirty, and you don't want the muck splashing on already cleaned exterior paint. Wheelwells and wheels are also mucky, so again, you don't want that grime splashing on the paint. This is why you wash the paint last.

After washing exterior, you do interior, vacuuming and shampooing. Then leave doors open and mats out to dry. Then clay the car while doors are open. If no polishing, then wax or seal, and apply dressing.
If you polish, obviously the doors must be closed again to do that.
