Your most trusted LSP

#7 & #26 is an effective and classic combo.

#7 & #21 is also good combo.

#7+#21+#26 is overkill IMO and honestly you wouldnt be able to tell the difference vs only using the glaze and only one LSP.

Keep in mind that #7 is best on SS paint systems, and the durability of any glaze will be very short lived, especially on CC paint.

I would recommend either #21 or #26 by themselves, or apply #21 & then #26 for durability+ that deep carnuba pop.

If you insist on using a Glaze, I would suggest looking into Chemical Guys EZ creme glaze as a great alternative to #7.

Thanks to both you and Chase. I'm in the learning and experimenting stage. Can you give me some idea what pads you use with each? I have slew and really only general ideas what to use with what. That would be a great help. Thanks again.

For 21 and 26? Black pads.

I've swore off the blue ones. I think the pad ends up getting more wax than my car does. I find myself constantly having to put more product. It's a sponge if I ever saw one.

The black pads on the other hand... I can usually get 2 panels worth before I have to add more.

For a Glaze/Gloss Enhancer I really like Wet Glaze 2.0

Now my recent fav on dark colors is "Wet Ice over Fire"
BFWD paint sealant topped with BFMS Ivory Carnauba

Depends; glaze and sealant titles are thrown around and can actually mean fairly different products. Take Griot's One-Step Sealant as it's a fine polish and sealant in one.
Take a light cut to not cut pad for this type of duty.

Whereas their other sealant is just that, a sealant that helps hide minor swirls. Then the Griot's Paint Glaze (currently on BOGO :) ) hides and fills even better but has literally no polishing abrasives what so ever.
Now you're at the no cut polishing to soft pad.

Some put sealants on by hand only, stuff like M21 for instance. Being as we have all these newfangled machines why not let them do that messy work, plus I feel they give better coverage.
Very soft pads are best for doing this type of work. (One caveat is once you use a pad for spreading full synthetic products like this, even though you cleaned it MARK IT and only use it for this duty forever more.)

Bobby, I read all your posts here on the forum and they are very insightful. May I request you to repost your favorite LSP, other than coatings? Feed back please

Of course!

There are so many quality sealants and waxes sold here it's sometimes difficult to really have one favorite. I've narrowed down some of the ones I have

Wipe On and Walk Away Sealants (Clear)

  • Wolf's Chemicals Body Wrap
  • CarPro Reload
  • Wolfgang Deep Gloss Liquid Seal

Traditional Sealants (Haze and Buff)

  • Menzerna Power Lock
  • Four-Star Sealant
  • BlackFire Wet Diamond

Wax

  • Wolfgang Fuzion
  • Dodo Juice Supernatural
  • Collinite 845

Thanks much. All the info out there is really too much for a beginner to keep straight.

Another dumb question. How do you get your profile picture to show. Mine is on my User CP but it never shows when I post. Thanks

it isn't your profile picture, it is your avatar ^

After being a long time proponent of hand waxing, I finally started using my GG polisher, thanks to my affinity for two paste products that have a reputation for difficult removal, namely Collinite 476 and Meguiar's M16. I use the Meguiar's 4 inch black pads, since they fit inside the can opening, making application easy by just a quick twist of the can over the pad. I've also come to like them for any wax since their thicker construction makes them more compliant over irregular contours and the smaller size, combined with the "countersunk" design, with the pad wrapping around the backing plate allows them to fit into smaller spaces safely, reducing the amount of hand work. I'm not OCD about segregating my pads, but I use one for Collinite and one for just about everything else, since my Collinite pad is the most difficult one to get clean. Whether it's on foam or metal, that stuff stands up to about any removal challenge you throw at it (which is why it's my most trusted LSP).

It seems a product called Naviwax maybe the holy grail of all LSPs. Has anybody here used it?

could anyone please care to educate me ?

I plan on using BFWD as my sealant, and hopefully put collinite 845 as wax on top for the shine.. would i be doing this right?

I had bought a 30ml of dodo purple velvet but it was way to expensive and I don't see myself spending crazy amounts if I'm going to be waxing every few weeks or once a month

Yes it is!

Sealants bond to the finish and waxes sit on top of what ever their applied to...:props:

Apply the sealant and wait for about 12 hours for it to cure before waxing...

People use 845 for durability not looks
Bfwdps has great looks and great durability
Apply your dodo on your bare paint and also on a panel or more layered over bfwdps to see if it even brings anything to the table for you
Don't layer to layer, layer if the finish actually benefits or if you want to slightly extend your durability

I usually use cg 5050 most of the time even though I have zymol glasur that is amazing. I'm considering some other high end ones, but my car is white and I'm not sure that spending more money than glasur will look that much better.

I hear a lot of people going with Sealants or hybrids. Doesn't anybody trust Waxes anymore? I just got Dodo Juice Rainforest Rub and Blue Velvet and to check the look and durability, I am going to strip off the DG 105 and then watch the Wax for a month or two.

My gf prefers a sealant as her car is parked outside uncovered at her job and can't tell the differences between waxes and sealants. She says all she wants is something that lasts and protects.

I work from home 90% of the time and got the better car of the both of us so I prefer a wax as my car isn't exposed to the brutal vegas summers as her car is.

So I guess everyone has a reason for choosing a sealant, hybrid, or wax.

Collinite 476S is my most trusted, bulletproof LSP, however there are others out there I enjoy applying/removing alot better...

My end-all-LSP that I use on my and friends' cars is ultima paint guard plus; it's never the only thing I use, but if I could only use one, it'd have to be that. Ridiculously easy to use and super quick, lasts quite a while, and looks great (after 2-3 layers).
